~Doctor's Visit~
Walking towards the gates of Briggs bounded a giraffe of a man, Secundinasci Invidia, as he sort of limp-hobbled on. He'd called Briggs in advance, so as to inform them of his arrival, and to schedule an appointment with their renowned doctor, an alkahestrist who specialized in bones. A few days ago, Sec's bum had been chock full of lead shrapnel, and he needed some metal pieces removed from his left butt cheek. So he came up to the first gate, showed his ID, and was allowed to pass, with an escort who would take him to the doctor's office. It was a short enough walk, but the pain still lingering in the multiple inch entry wound, it felt like several hours in the 5th level of the Inferno itself. Soon, however, he came a-rapping and a-tapping upon her office door. As the door opened, he smiled rather wearily and ducked down into a crouch, so as to be below the door frame and to be at eye level with Cora. "Hello ma'am, I am Secundinasci Invidia. This is the set time for my appointment, is it not?" He attempted a smile, which scored a seven on his Charisma roll of six on the metaphorical d12 that comprises all life on Earth. Now to begin this awkward appointment, in which his derier would be mended, hopefully soon...

Re: ~Doctor's Visit~
For once things were rather relaxed at frigid ol' Fort Briggs in the North. There were only two cases in her ward at the moment, no bombs had gone off anywhere, no arguments with incompetent bastards, no nothing. It was really quite... refreshing. It was true that Dr. Cora Nikita didn't usually have much to do anyways, but she especially didn't have anything right now! Not even paperwork, and she always seemed to have that. No, the only thing that she had today was a rather sudden appointment with one Secundinasci Invidia. Normally the young doctor would sometimes help out the local hospital and whatnot with their duties if they were a little short handed some days (or if certain doctors were working) so people knew she was always willing to help, but this was rather different. Someone had called and requested for an appointment with her number at Briggs. Maybe she was being paranoid about it, maybe it was something, but either way she had a patient coming soon.
Cora was perched comfortably behind her desk reviewing Nika Alkaev's file, her legs propped up on the desk and crossed. As usual, she was sporting her white doctor's coat, and had gone with her black body tight suit today. She just didn't feel like the fuzzy cat-like accessories at all lately. Sure it made her look more militaristic or spy-ish, but that was also fun too. Kept people guessing about her, hehe. As her head tilted to look at the next page of her notes and idea's, she heard a soft tinkling by her ears, remembering that she had just recently had earrings and a ring fashioned for her to account for her fresh discoveries. It was most excellent to keep the mind ever curious, ever moving forward for that was how inventions and innovations came about! She was hoping that with her new abilities over muscle and blood, she'd be able to do something about Nika's deafness, but so far she was hitting walls. And it wasn't like she wanted to ask the girl if she could test on her since that was just all sorts of wrong and probably illegal. Though it was hard to try to judge if a mouse was deaf or not, or if it could hear.....
A knock at her door forced her out of her thoughts as the folder whipped shut, getting placed upon her desk as she sat up. "Come in!" She called, glancing towards the clock to see it was just about time for that appointment of hers. So she was rather surprised to see such a giant man come bending into her ward, her eyebrows raising as she leaned back even further in her chair so she could see all of him. Oh my. Gigantism... She hadn't seen a case in a long time. "Hello ma'am, I am Secundinasci Invidia. This is the set time for my appointment, is it not?" Though he was standing rather oddly so she wondered if it had something to do with his back, legs, bum, or stomach even. Flashing him a warm smile, she rose up from her chair and strode up to him, offering her hand in greeting. "It is indeed Mr. Invidia, welcome. I'm Dr. Cora Nikita. Come," Her hand gave a firm shake if he took it, yet it was clearly also a gentle grip within his large mits. Gesturing for him to follow her, they walked to one of the beds nearby and she pulled the curtains closed about them, a clipboard already waiting for her on the nearby table. She then motioned towards the bed for him to sit, herself plopping down on a stool. "So what brings you to me today? Your call was rather vague as to any reason." She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Re: ~Doctor's Visit~
As the doctor approached, Sec stooped down a bit to shake her hand, as well as giving the top of said hand a light kiss, as was customary. With a warm, if pained, expression, he followed her into the closed off examination-type area, as he spoke. "Lovely meeting you, Dr. Nikita." Into the room he went, behind the curtains. Noting the bed, he eh... Well, this would be awkward. As was traditional in hospitals, he should be sitting on that thur bed, but the butt-shrapnel told him otherwise... Curse that man and his guns... Glancing from the bed to Cora, he smiled a rather awkward smile. "Um, yes... Well, the reason I called is going to sound odd, I'm sure, but it seems that, while driving through Central, a lunatic blew up my car and shot me, eh... In the rear." Ah yes... The most difficult part of having a bullet enter one's backdoor; telling the doctor what happened. And it was even worse for Sec, who was naturally awkward anyways! This doctor's visit was going to be difficult...

Oh my, even a kiss on the hand! What a gentlemen. Heh, those seemed so rare nowadays, but refreshing nonetheless. Maybe she should try that on some ladies at the gay bar the next time she was around... Ah, but that wasn't work related in the least bit! "Lovely meeting you, Dr. Nikita." She had noted the pained expression and wondered even further as to the cause since she didn't immediately see anything wrong with him. Though... was he walking funny? When he didn't sit down, she really had to wonder since most people popped right up onto the bed without a seconds hesitation. It was as if they wanted to get out of there or get on with it. Not that she could blame them, most people were wary of doctors (especially psychologists which is why she didn't mention that she did have some training in that field). Yes, being sly was so much fun....
"Um, yes... Well, the reason I called is going to sound odd, I'm sure, but it seems that, while driving through Central, a lunatic blew up my car and shot me, eh... In the rear." Oh. Cora stared at him blankly for a couple of seconds before she blinked and shook her head slightly with a quick half-smile. "Well, its certainly not everyday that happens. How in the world did you hobble over here?" The question was mostly rhetorical as she made a quick note in his file before moving away to grab a few tools. "Ok so," she began as she washed her hands before pulling on some blue plastic gloves. "What I need you to do is strip down your bottoms and lay on your stomach upon the bed. Which cheek did you get hit in?" She asked him while ringing for a nurse via a button on a controller dangling off the side of the bed. A woman appeared and leaned close to listen to the young doctors instructions, nodding once before vanishing quickly. Was it a problem that Cora wasn't quite phased by this? Probably not. It was probably better that at least one of them wasn't awkward about this. "I must admit, usually my first appointment with a patient is over a cold! But this is quite the ice-breaker hm?" She murmured softly, chuckling faintly as her brown gaze met his golden one. "Sorry if I'm making you more uncomfortable than this already must be, I just like to try to keep things light and well, less... awkward." She would have scratched the back of her head if she hadn't already put her gloves on and gotten all prepped for this, smirking slightly to him.

With a slightly pained, embarrassed smile still glued on, he answered the rhetoric, like a total bawss. "Well, I limped a fair amount of the ways, then I found a ride and hitch-hiked a good bit towards Briggs. From there, I limped the rest of the way here." As to what he next heard, he was thankful that he was far too tall for anyone to see the slight reddening of his ears and cheeks. Face cheeks, that is. "Erm, left..." Oh joy. He should PROBABLY comply now, though he felt doubly awkward in doing so. And thus, he reluctantly dropped his pants and boxers and lay across the bed. As Cora returned, her heard her murmur something, but didn't quite catch it. Ah well. She was now looking at him, and as she somewhat apologized, Sec smiled. "Oh, don't worry doctor, it's fine. I think this appointment would, indeed, be a tad better off if it wasn't as awkward."

"Well, I limped a fair amount of the ways, then I found a ride and hitch-hiked a good bit towards Briggs. From there, I limped the rest of the way here." Cora had to stare at him for a moment as he answered the unanswered question, having to laugh a bit simply because he had done that. Oh maybe that wasn't so nice.... "I can only imagine. You could have called and we would have come and gotten you." She spoke softly, glancing up as she could hear things being wheeled over from a different part of the room. What a strange man had wandered into her medical ward this day. Ah whatever, it kept things interesting!
It was probably best that she was so focused on what she was about to have to do to notice how her questions had embarrassed him, only nodding once as she heard his simple reply, "Erm, left..." "Alright then! er... Do try to relax. I'm not going to do anything questionable, ok?" Heh, she just HAD to say it... Making light jokes was just her defensive mechanism to such situations as these. It was kind of fascinating to watch such a tall man remove his clothes, politely looking away until he laid upon the bed. He already seemed uncomfortable enough to be here in this situation already without her nonchalantness over nudity. So one could imagine her relief when he said, "Oh, don't worry doctor, it's fine. I think this appointment would, indeed, be a tad better off if it wasn't as awkward." Most excellent. Slipping on one of those facial masks, he would probably catch a glimpse of her smile before most of her face vanished beneath it, glancing to the nurse who returned. "I'm glad you agree. Alright, we're going to anesthetize you now. Just breath like you normally would and this'll be over in a jiffy!"
Cora stepped to the side as the nurse moved forward, shifting awkwardly (such a plethora of awkward!) to place the mask over his nose and mouth. The young doctor, on the other hand, was checking removing the plastic wrapping that encased her fresh scalpel and tweezers. It would be easy enough closing the wound up again. Her brown eyes watched his face as the chemicals went to work, tilting her head slightly as her short black hair fell slightly in front of his face. Who would want to bomb such a man? But there was no time for wondering any longer it was time to get to work!
The procedure went over without a hitch, all of the bullet fragments laying in a metal pan on the swing out table to the doctors left. Her hands were resting upon his bum, sensing the power that flowed through the dragon's pulse and gathering it to do her work. She was knitting the muscles of his gluteus maximus back together, controlling his bloodflow so it would all rejoin in a pretty little picture. As for the skin, she used an ointment that acted like stitches would, placing a pad over it with some medical tape. At this point it was just a matter of waiting until he woke up again, removing her blue gloves with a resounding *snap*. "Excellent. Thank you Trisha." Pulling her mask down, she gave the girl a warm smile, making notes in his file while the nurse cleaned it up.

Sec smiled sheepishly at that good point. "True, true. Didn't even think of that, I guess." Aye, it had seemed to have slipped his mind. Of course, at the time, he had to deal with the military's interference. Honestly, he hadn't been doing anything, he was just a victim of circumstance. Of course, shooting at his assassin was probably a bit uncalled for... BUT HEY, HE WAS SECUNDINASCI INVIDA!! Anyways, he caried on, and lay down on his stomach. He couldnd't help but chuckle as Cora cracked possibly the OLDEST doctor's joke in the book. And it seemed as well, that they were on mutual grounds with humor being the cure for anti-social awkwardness! SPLENDOROUS! "Anesthesia, eh? Alrighty then." and with those last words, Sec plunged into a happy dream world, where he was sitting at a desk at the Ole Miss, discussing music with Mozart. And that was all he did. YES. Sec had BORING. DREAMS. INDEED.
[One Time Skip Later]
Sec soon woke, to find that there was very little pain in his rear end anymore. Well then, when they said that this Dr. Nikita worked miracles, he'd expected it to be a little less eh... MIRACULOUS. "Well then, doctor, I must say. You do great work, I'll be sure to see you again if I ever need anything else, thank you."

Re: ~Doctor's Visit~
Blood pressure was normal, clotting normal, slight tearing of the butt muscles had been fixed and he was well on the way towards recovery already! Her pen was soft as she scribbled away, her writing surprisingly clear for a doctor (since all of them seem to be unable to write legibly), signing off at the bottom of a page. She was just letting the papers fall back down onto the clipboard when she heard stirring in the bed beside her, short dark hair swaying out into the air as she turned her head. Oh excellent, he was awake. Smiling with warmth as he lay there in the muddlements of post-anesthesia, Cora placed the file down upon the table nearby as she placed a hand on her hip. "Welcome back Mr. Invidia." "Well then, doctor, I must say. You do great work, I'll be sure to see you again if I ever need anything else, thank you."
Aw she wasn't THAT amazing really, she still had a long way to go! Still, to hear one of her patients be so appreciative was always rather welcome since sometimes people just didn't really like doctors. It totally probably didn't have ANYTHING to do with those greedy bastards at North City hospital or any of the incompetant sleeze-balls who only think with their wallets... Noooo, wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with them at all! But she was digressing rather heavily at this point. She was blushing, albeit faintly, but it was there all the same, chuckling as she held out her hand to him. "Thank you very much. You are more than welcome Mr. Invidia, I'm glad that all is well now." Oh right! That would be good to give him. She had an 'ah-ha!' moment and turned back to the clipboard with his file upon it, removing that until she got to the papers that were beneath. She handed him one that had a set of instructions upon them, picking up the entire clipboard as she did so. "Now for the boring but very important stuff. Be careful when you bathe because the adhesive that I've applied to help close up your wound won't really like it. Stitches would have been rather difficult given the location of your injury, hence my choice of resolution. It can still get pulled open if you are too rough with it so do be mindful of that, but it should heal up within a week or two. This is a list of instructions and recommendations for things to do and not do while you are healing up. If you have any problems, questions, or concern, you know my number."
The explanations always sounded so long winded no matter how concise she tried to make them, and it bugged her rather intensely. No matter, she said all she needed to say and that was what was important.

Re: ~Doctor's Visit~
Sitting up rather gingerly, Sec found that there was a significantly smaller amount of pain running through his butt at that point, which was a great relief to him. Smiling a small smile that is rather similar to other small smiles that Sec tended to smile, he accepted the clipboard and gave it a once-over before Cora began to explain exactly what she did and what he could and couldn't do. Sounded easy enough. Giving Cora another pleasant smile, he nodded. "Well, alright Doctor, I'll be sure to follow your instructions. I really should be going now, I have to see the guy who will be modifying a new car, to adapt for my height. But thanks again, Dr. Nikita, I'll be sure to call you if I need anything." Carefully standing up, he stretched his legs a bit, before leaning down to kiss her hand again. "Have a nice day." Smiling, he waved a little wave as he left the doctor's office with his clipboard, onward to go do other Secsy things, in other Secsy places. Perhaps he should find somewhere to search for his sister...
