BRIEFING:
→ Erebus & Hemera are Athelius’ trademark pair of personally customized handguns. They are both M1911-style handguns chambered for the .50 AE rounds. The white-colored right gun, Hemera, was custom built for rapid firing and fast draw times, weighing less than its counterpart Erebus, which has been customized for long-distance targeting and comfort. Both weapons use ergonomic wood grips which are inlaid with portraits of Victorian women; as befits their names, Erebus is dark-haired, and Hemera is fair-haired. Both have gold-plated magazine releases, hammers, safety switches and triggers. Both feature ported muzzle compensators that reduce recoil and counteract muzzle flip. Both barrels are extend through the compensators and are ported to match the cuts in the compensators. Rails have been bolted to the forward portion of both frames holding the compensators in place. The slides of both weapons have been noticeably thickened and reinforced along the slide travel rails and around the chamber and firing mechanism. Both handguns have been customized with pivot-style triggers as opposed to the 1911's usual straight-pull trigger for a faster fire rate. His magazines are double stacked and are equipped with slam pads. Due to the size of the .50 AE however, each magazine only holds 8 rounds. Erebus's ejection port is located on the left side of the weapon, so that when firing both weapons at once, both guns eject spent rounds away from him. When fired, the bullets create a bright red ring.
