DESCRIPTION:
→ Nina Shostakovitch is a beautiful young woman. She has violet hair that is a little past shoulder length, which strangely enough is her natural hair color. It stands out a lot from the normal browns and blondes, a rare recessive gene causing this change. Needless to say it does garner some unwanted attention, but after 20 years, one does get used to it. She doesn't do much with it, tending to lean towards the "if it looks good, do it." Because of this, her hair looks relatively similar on a day to day basis, and is only dependent on whether she's wearing a hat or not, something she enjoys doing from time to time. There is only one hat she wears regularly however, and that is her white barrette. Most of the resistance knows it as her 'commander cap.'
Her light green, almost turquoise eyes pop in comparison to her light tan skin. Yet if you were to look into those eyes, you would see a solid wall. Few know how to read Nina, and most of those people are dead. They perfectly match the bow she keeps in her hair at all times, along with a black hair band. White being her favorite color, it is the most common one she wears. This is represented in the form of dress shirts, mostly long sleeve from the relative temperature and weather of her homeland Drachma. Gloves, scarves, and beanies are also pretty common wear for Miss Melody. She is just a civilian after all right?
When it isn't freezing cold in Drachma, which is only a few months in the year, she enjoys skirts and tights. Otherwise standard jeans and winter pants are the bottomwear of choice for her. No matter what though, blue is her second choice when it comes to anything alternative, bottoms or otherwise. Her hourglass like figure makes her look good in pretty much anything. You could put a trash bag on her and cut holes into it for her arms and legs and she'd pull it off like a supermodel. Men like to stare, but her feisty personality tends to cut that short.
She takes good care of herself, especially in regards to food, water, and common hygiene. Trimmed nails, lovely hair, soft skin, and all of it natural. Her height is slightly taller than average, but certainly not enough to make her tall. When she gets in a mans face for insubordination however, she can seem like a giant. This is also from her voice, as it has a tendency to carry when she wants it to. Though not deep or manly, it's volume and tone can be scary at times, only when she's angered of course. Otherwise, she has a very normal ranged voice for a woman her age, though she can go deeper than most. Most of this comes from being a fantastic vocalist, but cello is her true passion. It is said that her voice sounds of pure heaven, something only an angel could produce. But Miss Shostakovitch is nowhere near perfect, singing or otherwise.
She always stands strong with her head held high. Many think its from her fathers training, but anyone relatively close to her would know it's from years of vocal and cello training, correct posture was a must. This is mostly when she's around the ranks however, as when alone or trying to relax, she'll look like anyone else walking around. She doesn't walk anything special. Just like anyone else, she tends to stomp when mad, and has a slight skip in her step when happy or excited. Her choice of shoes doesn't help, as her combat boots tend to make a lot of noise regardless of mood.

PERSONALITY:
→ Nina has been known to be harsh at times. Being raised in the rough tundra of Drachma, it's hard not to. Rugged and tough, that was how Drachmans were born, how they lived their lives. How is this shown? She's not always the nicest girl, and is always extremely blunt and to the point. She doesn't fool around, and if you want her to tell it how it is, she will. No beating around the bush, she'll always speak her mind, no matter what. Her life had been relatively average, no spoiling or abuse. Maxim and Galina took good care of her and Irina. Taught them manners, how to be polite, but most of all strength and courage. Anything they needed to know to become good people, young woman their parents could be proud of. When their mother died, it effected their father more than it did them, broke his spirit.
One thing Irina said she always admired more than anything about Nina was her strength no matter what happened. She always stood up for what was right, and protected her little sister whenever things got tough. Nina has a strong morale sense, and even if held at gun point she would stand for those morals and beliefs, even until her dying breath. This can make her seem stubborn or ignorant at times, but most see it as passion, a strong belief system. She has earned the respect of all her men in the resistance, before and after her rise to leadership. Many feared her harsh judgement and rock hard determination, yet revered her steadfast will and steady tactical mind.
Nina does not trust other easily trust others, something that has come from years of hiding and being tricked by the Soviets. When you're a leader of a super secret resistance group fighting for the freedom of millions of people, trust doesn't come easy. Her powers of perception are amazing, and few people can match them. She uses these perceptive skills in combat, determining correct tactics and strategies to be used at a moments notice. Never interrupt her train of thought, or while she is speaking, at least if you wish to live long. If Nina were to have one pet peeve, it would most certainly be that. Either that or being mistreated. Look down on her, belittle her in any way, and you might as well sign your death warrant right now.
She believes in true love, to an extent. She is yet to experience this however, so sometimes it can be somewhat hard to believe. Of course she wishes to find a true love one day, she just doesn't know when. For years her only loves were music, and her family. When the Soviets took over though, most music was banned. Then her family was killed and her little sister was taken away from her. All that she loved, gone, stolen by this new regime. Irina had kept her sane during this time of war, kept her on the right path. So when she was captured by the Soviets, things got very hard for a while. She stayed strong however, finding her sister was now what kept her going. Since then she's been slightly more harsh, taking out her frustration on the enemy. Her soft side is still there though, you just have to dig for it.

HISTORY:
→ Nina Shostakovitch was born in the once glorious city of St. Petersburg, or Petrograd as it is now known. Her parents took great care of her through the years. Galina, her mother, was a professional musician and well known classical composer throughout Drachma. She taught both Nina and her little sister, Irina, to play music and learn its deep and passionate meanings. Their father Maxim had also been a professional musician, but by the time they were born he chose the easier job of becoming a professor of saxophone at St. Petersburg University. Both Nina and her sister were well taken care of. When she turned nine she chose to play the cello, Irina being a year younger choosing to stay at piano at nine. Nina's parents were her biggest role models, wanting to become a famous musician one day just like them. She hoped to one day play in the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra as lead cellist one day, it was her dream. Until the Soviet Regime took that dream from her...
When she was fifteen, the Soviets began uprising all across Drachma. They first began hitting St. Petersburg though, and their family suffered. Music, and the arts overall, were dramatically hindered during this time. It was no longer considered an honest profession. This made people like her mother and father big targets in the Soviets eyes, badgering them daily to create music for their new regime. Her parents refused however, loyal to the Czar until the end. One cold winters day, masked men attacked their house, beating Maxim and killing Galina in front of the entire family. They told Max that it was the price for his insolence, and that if he wanted his daughters to live, he had to begin helping spread communist music across Drachma. He agreed, but as soon as they left they packed their bags and ran to Creta. The cities close proximity to the border with Creta, many attempting to escape the evils of the Soviets would run there to seek shelter and refuge. Nina and her family were like many, wanting a new life in a country untouched by the darkness of the communists and their evil ways.
For three long years the three of them stayed in Creta. Their father, who had once served in the military, trained the two regularly. This was meant to keep them in shape in case of an emergency. They learned the basics of fighting in hand-to-hand, and even some firearms training. Nina started college at a prestigious university, pursuing her life long goal of professional musician. When their father died, Irina was a senior in high school, pushing to become a great composer like her mother. His death was devastating, but nobody would tell the two girls how or why he was killed. He had been visiting an old friend in St. Petersburg when it happened, and a few weeks after his death, that friend came to see the two young woman. This man told them exactly what happened. Maxim had been caught by the Soviets and killed for his betrayal. Even three years later and they still wanted vengeance. It was disgusting, and with that Nina had enough. Nina and her sister then concocted a plan with the man known as Dmitri, their fathers old friend. What they wanted to do would not be easy, but life was not meant to be easy.
Later that week, the three of them went back to St. Petersburg. Once there, they began gathering men from all across Drachma, those against the communist regime. Many were soldiers in the Drachman military, others just simple farmers and workers willing to fight for what was right. With Dmitri as their leader, they began the RRR, or the Red Ribbon Resistance. All members wear red ribbons on their person somewhere, mostly on their arms, to show they are members. This is only in battle of course, wouldn't want the Soviets pulling them off the streets because of it. On this ribbon is the insignia of the resistance, and the words "Вечная свобода" which means "eternal freedom" in Drachman. They started it to late though, as the Soviets had already taken the majority of Drachma from the Loyalists, and the only major city that remained was the capital, Moscow. During the entire time she and her sister have been with the resistance, they have trained intensively in hand-to-hand and ranged combat. They may not be veterans, but they know how to fight, that's for sure.
About a year into the start of the rebellion, Dmitri was killed in the line of duty. Nina being next in command became the new leader of the RRR. Since then they have doubled in strength, and reclaimed most of St. Petersburg, though now it is called Petrograd by the communists. For every victory, they had loss, whether it be men, supplies, ground, or a battle. Every victory was paid for in blood, sweat, and tears. These times in Drachma, especially for the Red Ribbons, were not easy. Sadly, they weren't looking any better. When the resistance learned that the Soviets were planning an all out assault on Moscow to kill Czar Loki and claim Drachma for themselves, they knew they couldn't allow it to happen. Nina lead as many men as she could to aide in the defense. But by the time they had arrived, the battle was nearly over. Amestris, Creta, Xing, and the Drachman Loyalists were in full retreat, the conflict lost and the Czar dead. During the little fighting they did participate in though, Irina had been captured by the enemy and taken to a high value POW camp at an undisclosed location. Even Nina's contacts inside the regime didn't know of its whereabouts.
Vanity took control, along with RIOTE, claiming all of the motherland for the Communist Regime. Though they may have lost the battle, many of the Loyalists joined the RRR, making them that much stronger. The rebellion also gained access to valuable weapons, ammunition, and supplies to continue waging war against the new Drachman government. Nina knew it wouldn't be enough though, and has thus begun negotiations with foreign leaders for support and supplies for their resistance. They needed help, and she hoped the free countries of the world would at least lend them their ears. Perhaps that would be enough. Nina is now 21, and looking to win a war. Any volunteers?

APPROVED
I'll shorten your rank title by the way to LEADER OF RRR. Also you'll be moved towards the civilian group, due to the fact you're in a resistance.
