Bojan didn't really know this area as he had spent so much time in North the South was just so alien to him. But as he walked through people, gracing them all with his presence of course. Did they look? Some of them. But who couldn't look at Bojan? He was generally made of awesome. His ears were high and his hands were in the pockets of a black hooded sweatshirt. He never understood the point of wearing such things but he felt like it was a good idea. It was unzipped in the front and underneath was his usual Military styled outfit, hat included. Today was a rather nice day and it was about midday so everything just seemed perfect right now. Walking among commoners, on his way to get something to eat. As a scavenger he was none too picky. So he just kind of sniffed around at moments for whatever it was that caught his interest. Anything would do. So when he caught the scent of doughnuts he wasn't surprised he instantly changed directions and headed for the smell. It was enticing and every thread of his being now wanted one... dozen. Or more. However he felt as he went on. He would run it off later anyways.

Entering this doughnut establishment, as he was too cool to read signs. What did it matter? Whatever the name, whatever they made, he would eat it. As mentioned before, he was none too picky. He made his way to the counter and the girl at the counter looked up at him and he noticed the double take and grinned with his sharp teeth, making her stare now before quickly asking how she could help him. He wasn't the oddest sight but this was her first day and... Well, he was pretty odd to her. He casually looked around before nodding.

"Actually yes you can, would like a dozen of whatever you care to throw in a box that is a doughnut in nature" he said, waving a hand carelessly. Seemed like a simple enough request, yes? He honestly just didn't care. And as the girl went to fill his request he dug in his pockets of his wallet, having to pull out his pocket watch to get to it. Paying no attention at all to what she was putting into the box. This has occasionally ended awkwardly for him. He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way (as they were all jealous) and he once ended up with a dead mouse in a box. Did he care? Not at all. He actually didn't eat it though. Luckily enough he was already full. Because the scavenger part of him screamed to just eat it. Gross? Yes. Thankfully he brushed his teeth close to six times a day. Sometimes more.

HELLO YES THIS IS FOX Empty HELLO YES THIS IS CAT

Post by Sal Fri Jan 13, 2012 2:29 am

Sal was wandering around South City, taking in all the sights and smells the place had to offer. They were starting to grow on him already, and it wasn't just because the pirates would have island all to themselves or because the military would now be responsible for the crew's paycheck. It was probably because of the food. The diversity here was incredible, and that was something that the small homunculus known as Gluttony would certainly enjoy very easily. It was as though he had been fated to meet with such an abundant location. Since they would be moving to South City soon, the pirates were only known by those who were in some way involved in the deal that Brigadier General Brighton had proposed. That was a good thing, in a way, because Sal could explore the place preemptively and figure out where he'd be getting most of his food. After all, food was something that he could never get enough of, no matter how much he put down. That was just one of the "quirks" of being Gluttony. Speaking of which, Sal wondered if it was really something so secretive and why it was to be kept hidden. He was certain that there had to be at least someone from the crew who had noticed that he was different, and if it was anyone, it was Celes. Ah, well, he might talk to Celes later and see if there was a way to ask him without really asking him.

Just then, the all too familiar smell of doughnuts entered Sal's nostrils. If there was anything that Sal loved the most, it was doughnuts. Well, doughnuts and his big brother Xanthus. Meat was nice too, but for some reason doughnuts just sat at the throne of this hierarchy of food preferences. Maybe someday the horror of the doughnut's tyranny would end, but for now the peoples remained obedient. As the small Ishvallan turned the corner to enter the place where it seemed the doughnut smell was coming from, he noticed something. Inside was a man whose ears were so big, Sal thought they might have mouths of their own! The more important thing, though, was how this man got here, why he was here, and what he was doing buying up a dozen doughnuts that Sal was sure he couldn't eat by himself? It already felt like this doughnut place was totally his territory (must have been the cat part of him) and everyone inside belonged to HIM. Especially the doughnuts, though, he didn't care about the people too much. As a result, one person buying up a dozen doughnuts was unacceptable! Sal would put a stop to this madness!

"Hold it right there, mister," Sal commanded as he opened the door to the shop, "What do you think you are doing, buying all of MY doughnuts?" His small feet stomped over to the man with the large, fluffy ears and put his hands on his hips, looking up at him. He tried giving him the stink eye to intimidate him, but the result looked very similar to an incredibly young kitten trying to intimidate a toy.

((This picture probably describes how Sal looks better than I ever could.))

HELLO YES THIS IS FOX Empty Re: HELLO YES THIS IS FOX

Post by Guest Fri Jan 13, 2012 3:14 am

After paying and whatnot his ears twitched, hearing a voice. Was somebody talking to HIM like that? He was Bojan Von Hatch! Nobody spoke to Bojan Von Hatch that way! He turned and instantly went to look forward and... Nothing. One ear fell and he tilted his head, thrown off for a moment then remembered he wasn't exactly short. He then looked down and noticed the boy standing there giving him the stink eye. Normally when children even look at him he does something to freak them out or say something. Or SOMETHING. But as soon as he noticed two things about this boy he felt his eye twitch and his frown twitch upwards but he held it. He stared at his ears and tail. He figured this was how people looked at him but... He just couldn't help himself. The cat ears and the tail were just... So... Damn... Cute.

"There are plenty more there" he quirked an eyebrow but he still had to keep his mouth from twitching into a smile. The more he stared the harder it got to look away. He just... And the ears... And this boy was just... Bojan never found children cute. He saw them as annoying and awkwardly stupid looking and generally gross. But this boy was... So hopelessly adorable he actually felt it was unhealthy.

"Do you... Want one?" Why was he offering this child one? He never shared food but... He just couldn't help it. His voice sounded very unsure for his overly confident self. He just did not understand but he was just going to roll with it all. He figured what was the worse that could happen? And he was certainly curious about this boys attire. He knew there were pirates or whatever nearby but figured this boy could not POSSIBLY be one of them. I mean just look at him! He was far too adorable and young to be a pirate. But dammit. The outfit... Kitty pirate... D'AWWW. Bojan couldn't find his manliness at this point. He continued to stare at him with one eyebrow up and that same ear up, the other ear down and his head tiled slightly. Smiling slightly against his better judgement. He never gave anybody credit but kitty boy got a lot of it just for shear adorableness. He didn't understand why he gave a crap though. HE had fennec fox ears, you could think the presence of animal ears on somebody would just be something he would have accepted by now. But his weren't CAT ears. And he wasn't an adorable child. He was a grown man. Fennec ears weren't manly.

At first the man seemed to oppose Sal's statement when he turned around. As most people usually reacted, the man with the large animal ears turned around and looked for someone at eye level. Sal had gotten used to responses like this, so it didn't bother him in the slightest; He thought it was funny, actually, because someone with his voice wouldn't normally be as tall as an adult. Surely the adults were smart enough to know at least that much about him. He was young ans quite petite. His behavior was more or less on a level below his age, but he could sometimes think with a level of maturity beyond his years (maybe 3 years ahead or so).

Something about the look on the stranger's face when he noticed Sal was off-putting. It may have been the raised eyebrow, but it may have been the discomforting atmosphere that suddenly permeated the doughnut shop.

"Of course there are plenty more, there are many in the back of the store...but I do not want those." Softening his frown, he let his hands fall to his sides. Maybe he didn't need to be so commanding after all, which was good, because it was too tiring to act like the boss all the time! Well, he WAS the boss of the pirates, but that was different. They already knew he was boss and treated him that way, so he didn't have to act tough around them. "...Yes, yes I do want one, Mister..." Tilting his head inquisitively, he looked the man in the eyes. It was more or less an attempt to coax a name out of him, but if it didn't work, he could always ask. After all, he needed to know the names of those who infringed on the rules of Captain Sal.

Rule number one: Hands off the captain's food. Especially his doughnuts.

Clearly this was not being paid attention to, but Sal was too far in the moment to realize the error of his analysis. If he were to stop and think about it, this man couldn't possibly know the error of his ways unless he knew Sal's rules, which he couldn't know unless he was a member of the crew...which he wasn't. Unfortunately, Sal wasn't thinking about that at the time, possibly because he wasn't used to being around others that were like him - meaning others with visible animal traits.

HELLO YES THIS IS FOX Empty Re: HELLO YES THIS IS FOX

After hearing the child speak Bojan nodded and simply offered him the box. He figured if anything this kid could most likely handle a good two doughnuts. He was small and he had peaked in the box already and they were the normal sized doughnuts. Most of them with chocolate on them. But he most likely sealed his fate when he said "I don't normally share my food, you just caught me on a good day. So have as many as you want" he offered with a shrug. Unsure as to why did was doing this. This was how you spread a bad rep. If he kept this up people might shove their children at him and expect him to be sugary sweet to them. And that was NOT happening. This kid was certainly a special little kitty. He actually had a certain respect for him. Not only because he loved cats, but also because he somewhat reminded him of little Bojangles. And little Bojangles was the cutest thing in existence, okay?

"Also, Mister Hatch. Bojan Von Hatch at your service. Ruining one day at a time" he chuckled slightly and grinned, winking. Generally how he introduced himself no matter who you were. It was the egotist asshole thing. "And you are?" he requested, tilting his head again, ears moving with the tilt. They pretty much always voiced what he was thinking whether he wanted them to or not. They were highly expressive. And when he was expressing good things and anger he was highly expressive otherwise.

Noticing where he still stood he stepped to the side without really thinking about it all that much. It's not like he felt somehow bad for being in the way or being rude... Or whatever. He just didn't feel like dealing with anybody telling him to move and him having to punch anybody in the face or something. In fact right now it seemed like such an encounter would just be a chore. He was actually somewhat interested in this child. For some reason he was curious as to who he was and what possessed him to talk to HIM like that. Also, kitty ears. And tail. He just. He just. Wanted to actually get along with this kid and he did not know why. At all. He also didn't understand how he was just tolerating how he was just spoken to. But he noticed what appeared to be a less hostile change in the boy's behavior.

'Why do I care?' he thought to himself. But whatever. Just roll with it.

HELLO YES THIS IS FOX Empty Re: HELLO YES THIS IS FOX

Post by Sal Sun Feb 05, 2012 3:44 pm

Red eyes scanned the selection of doughnuts in the box. Most of them were the ones with chocolate on them, and those were pretty good...but for Sal, nothing beat the original glazed ones. It was interesting that this man offered to let Sal have as many of these doughnuts as he wanted since the boy would likely eat the entire content of the box in a matter of minutes, maybe less. Licking his lips, Sal reached into the box and grabbed three doughnuts, making sure that one of them was the kind without any chocolate. He popped one into his mouth, taking only around 10 seconds to eat the entire thing. It was a wonder that he managed to do so...at least, that's how most people would see it. Those that knew him would be (hopefully) accustomed to his strange ways, so he wasn't going to bother behaving any differently in front of this man. Why should he? With a shrug, he slammed the other two down his throat just as quickly, licking his lips again afterwards.

"You have a good taste in doughnuts, Mister Hatch," he said with an approving nod, "I am very pleased." Didn't this Mister Hatch tell him he could have as many as he wanted? Hmmm... Sal downed another doughnut before answering the man's question about his own identity. Patting his stomach, he gave Bojan a mischievous grin. "I, sir, am Salazar Masu. CAPTAIN Salazar Masu." He took a moment to look over the man, and he decided that he liked him. In fact, he wanted to keep him. The two of them had started to draw attention to themselves, and Sal's volume didn't help the situation. Grabbing another doughnut, he looked around the place and decided it was time to make an exit...whether Bojan joined him or not, he wouldn't know, but he definitely wanted to hang around the guy more often. Looking at the cashier, Sal gave her a look that more or less said "I'll be back", and she was visibly creeped out by him. The flustered girl turned back to her customers, tending to their needs.

"Well, Mister Hatch, I think that maybe we should leave, there are a lot of people starting to come in here." Turning on his heels, he let his tail swing around, just like his long, white hair. An oddly devilish expression crossed his lips, and he began to walk toward the door, turning ever so slightly to see if Bojan was coming along. "Will you come with me, Mister Hatch?"

HELLO YES THIS IS FOX Empty Re: HELLO YES THIS IS FOX

Post by Guest Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:53 am

Bojan watched the bow eat one doughtnut as as he downed it before he could even blink he couldn't help but just stand and stare. this boy was truly a marvel, ate about as fast as he did if not faster. Though he couldn't possibly eat more... Right? Wrong. Bojan could eat a lot, and seemed to out do others, yes. But He did get full, and he could get sick from eating too much. He raised an eyebrow and watched as the boy continued to eat. He would normally get somewhat predetorial over his food due to... Whatever animal gave him that instinct... But maybe the cat kept him moreso fascinated and totally interested than offended in any way. His ears twitched as he heard him speak again, replying to that with a grin.

"But of course" he boasted. Not at all meantioning that the doughtnuts had been a random selection of the woman who shoved them in a box for him. Though he was completely willing to take all credit for them. As the child gave his name he tilted his head. "Captain, eh? What kind, if you don't mind me asking" he asked as he looked back at the woman as Sal looked at her. Then looked back, His hands at his sides as he began to notice the other people again. He grinned slightly, his shark toothed grin most likely not helping their case in any way shape or form.

"I do agree, leaving would be wise" he nodded, agreeing as he watched him and caught site of his tail and part of him at that moment kindof wished he had a tail. Why DIDN'T he have a tail? He shook his head. What was he thinking? He barely liked his ears and claw like nails, why would he like a tail? This boy was odd. And he, for some reason, brought out some kind of... Something out in him. Though he didn't understand why. EARS, MAN. And now appetite. "Where is it you are going?" he asked, tilting his head again. Raising one eyebrow.

"I'm a PIRATE Captain of course, Mister Hatch!" Remembering that there were still 7 doughnuts left in the box (the one he had in his hand was his fifth), he cast a quick glance at the box before slamming said fifth doughnut down his throat as if it was nothing. Well, to him it was quite close to nothing, as he was always hungry, but that was beside the point. At least he knew how to do some simple math...but he never really had proper schooling...maybe he should look into that. He was 12 years old and hadn't attended school at all. While he was with the merchant family, he was taught the bare minimum, but that was about it. Everything else he learned from experience, mostly, or books, though he was just getting the hang of reading at all, and in Amestrian, no less. He never learned to read or write Ishvallan, let alone read and write Amestrian.

In any case, more people started to come into the shop, to buy up all of the doughnuts that Sal wanted to eat, no less. With a low growl and a sigh, he pushed and held the door open. "Where? To my place, of course, Mister Hatch. A place of kings...Well, actually just one king. And that's me. But you should still come along, Mister Hatch!~" Hmm...if Sal was really going to try and keep this guy, he'd really have to bring up his game a notch. After all, it wasn't easy to give someone a feeling of obligation without threatening them. To make things easier, Sal let go of the door and walked back over to the man, reaching out a hand for a handshake. "You're always welcome in the Captain's house, Mister Hatch." He waited for the handshake (or not) and turned back around to leave the doughnut shop. Whether Bojan would follow or not wasn't really his concern, but right now he was going to find the vessel he came in to go back to Pirate Island.

Post by Guest Wed Feb 15, 2012 4:18 am

When Bojan heard he was a pirate captain his mental voice sneered and said 'Of course' but then thought... Well... Maybe he was a little curious about that. Most of him said no way but the other part of him was interested in this kid. Not in a perverted way, of course. That would have been weird. He wasn't a creep, okay? He just... He has become a slave to the kitty ears, honestly. Maybe it was seeing somebody with a visible animal feature that made him want to talk to this... Odd child. But he DID. He didn't understand at all. And another thing that had him curious was the fact this boy was smacking down a dozen doughnuts like the were AIR. "Pirate Captain? Sounds like fun" he chuckled with a sharp toothed grin.

And then there was mention of him having a place. He was a kid so he was sure there wasn't going to be some fucked up kind of attack or anything, so he was a bit interested. Did that make him a creep? Most likely. But it amused him. This whole situation amused him. And as he shook this boy's hand he found himself compelled to follow him. Maybe it was to have somebody to relate to... Who knows, but either way, he followed Pirate Captain Salazar without really thinking about it; his arms crossed and his ears up and his expression curious. Who knew what he is getting himself into.

(Thread complete, nyah!)
