Falling for you
It took some getting used to and it was annoying, but Kira found it strange that he didn't care at all. No, he didn't care that he had to get accustomed to a whole different country. It was the strangest thing, but he was more content here than he had been anywhere else in his whole year of existence. He turned to look around the room he was given and felt a strange sensation hit his face. Reaching a hand up to his lips, he felt something like the opposite of the normal frown. Blinking at himself in the mirror, he moved closer to get a better look. Ah, a smile. He hadn't thought he was capable of it.
Adjusting his beige hat on his head, he turned to the door and exited. He was wearing a black dress shirt with the typical black pants and he had on black socks. His skin was still ice cold from the water and his chest was still experiencing the effects of regenerating. Kira took the first step down the steps and looked up and around for Zeeva and continued toward her. That was when he was suddenly assailed by a wave of dizziness that threw off his footing. He fell the rest of the way down and landed with a thud at the bottom, his eyes clenched shut.

Re: Falling for you
Greed was sitting in the floor below at the edge of the stairs having a smoke and a drink as she watched the dancefloor dissipate. It was getting late and the humans would be leaving soon. She sighed, a cloud of smoke billowing from her mouth and dancing in the condensed air. She hated when people left, it felt like they weren't hers anymore,. but they had to sleep, and her janitors got pissed enough as it was cleaning the daily messes from her near-orgies. She was wearing her same cold, wet-plastered clothes and her hair fell to the sides of her face with ease as she yawned. She wasn't tired, just bored. She wondered how Sloth's unpacking was going, when the reminiscent sound of thumpping collided the sounds that already pre-existed. Within a second, a ball of Sloth was at her feet and she stared, cigarette falling out of her mouth, "The fuck? You okay, kid?" She asked leaning down and poking him, concern lining her pale face and her gold eyes narrowed behind her shades. "That doesn't look very fun, you just lost a fight with the stairs."

Re: Falling for you
"Wasn't fighting," Kira murmured from under her before he picked himself up to his knees with a deep breath. Then proceeded to stare at her... Wait, he wasn't supposed to do that. He quickly looked away and around at the ending party with confusion before standing up and brushing out his black dress shirt. He couldn't help looking back at her and staring some more with his intense, deep blue eyes. He noted that her hair was all stringy from the water and she was still wearing the same clothes. "Cold?" Kira asked, moving closer to her so he could touch her skin to answer his own question he had just asked. His head was still spinning, but he managed to ignore it when he touched her stomach with his ungloved finger. It was a miracle...that he wasn't wearing gloves, or shoes, or even a scarf/tie for that matter. He looked at home with his dismal outfit that lacked his usual attire. He left his finger lightly there for half a second to judge her temperature.

Re: Falling for you
Greed chuckled inwardly again as she looked at him, getting up with ease. He was fine, that was good. She held her cheek in the curve of her palm as she stared at the people. She was kind of bored to be truthful, pulling another sip of alcohol to her lips. As he asked if she was cold, she shook her head, "Naw.. Just wet and shivering cuz I'm so bored and almost outta beer." She half-lied. She was a bit chilly, but nothing to be worriied about. Her stomache muscles seemed to twitch slightly at his touch and she couldn't help faintly blushing. Hr eyes rested on him, confused. Why did he care so much? It wasn't like she was that great. His hands felt really warm which was weirder. She rested a hand on his, "Seriously, Kid, don't worry about me. I'm a big girl." She grinned seductively, playfully as she closed her eyes. "I can fend off a bit of the chills. 'sides I'm probably gnna shower soon anyways." She looked at him intently. It was almost sweet, he seemed happier.. much happier./

Re: Falling for you
He was happier and it was strange because he didn't understand this. He also did not understand why that reddened coloring in Zeeva's cheeks made his heart suddenly start beating faster or the fact that when she touched his hand it sent tingles up and down his entire arm. Normal human contact between inhuman creatures didn't seem possible. He stared at her awkwardly for a moment contemplating this. And then slowly reached up to touch her hair. It felt soft, and wet, and cold. She was lying...at least a little. A frown formed on his lips. "You're cold." He stated and there was no going back on those words. When she closed her eyes and spoke further his frown seemed to increase drastically. He wondered why she was having a party instead of taking a shower to warm herself up. Maybe he wasn't supposed to get involved...it was too bothersome anyway, but he felt the need to--the need to care and to let her know that. Maybe it was some strange parallel that spawned from deep inside him and latched itself to her. He couldn't pull free even if he wasn't lazy enough to try.

Re: Falling for you
Greed blushed slightly deeper but cleared her throat. He seemed to be ordering her take a shower. Closing her eyes briefly, she gave his hand a brief squeeze and stood, "Alright, alright I get it." She strettched her arms, releasing his hands, "I'll take a shower. Behave while, I'm gone, okay?" She sighed and walked up the stairs. She wondered why she was caring so much about this man. Especially what he was thinking and how he cared about her so much. She ran her hand through her hair and leaned against the doorway to the shower. She jumped in the shower after removing her damps clothes and let her body warm beneath the hot water that steamed the air in the showerroom. Her eyes were closed and she stepped out, changing into dry clothes, and walking back downstairs, everyone was gone now. She felt almost lonely... almost. She fouund herself searching for the boy and before she could stop herself she shouted his name, "Kira? Where are you, kid?"

Re: Falling for you
The instant Zeeva was gone, Kira did some searching. Judging by her unique personality, Kira already knew that she would have all sorts of cash laying around. He found enough in a random drawer and stuffed it into his pocket before slipping out the door. Now what was he doing? Such an annoying thing... And it was still so cold! He grabbed for his scarf that wasn't around his neck and scowled heavily. People moved out of his path in fear from his murderous glare that settled itself on his features. He bowed into a liquor store and grabbed the nearest thing. It seemed by the look of her place that she liked this kind of stuff. Hopefully she wouldn't notice the missing money and would accept it. He didn't need a reason, nor have one. It was too bothersome to mess around with things such as reasons. Now that wasn't worth the effort of trying to figure out. He paid for the item, whatever it was called, and hoped it was good. He was slipping in the front door silently when he saw Zeeva. He walked quickly up to her and handed her a bag stuffed full of random assortments of alcoholic beverages.

Re: Falling for you
Greed scratched her chin, brow furrowed in concern when she didn't find him. She was wearing her usual again, leather jeans and camisol, without the jacket. She never wore her jacket inside. That was just silly. She also didn't have her shades on right now. Sighing she turned around to have a bag shoved in her arms. She blinked a couple times, as if confused and set down the bag on a chair, sorting through the stuff. A smile spread on her lips. Booze! Her favourite! Turning back to Sloth, she practically tackled him, hugging hi extra tight. "Awwww so sweet of you!" She giggled softly, which again was odd, because she rarely ever giggled, but then again nobody ever really bought her anything... As she smiled she laughed lightly. "What would I do without you? Look at this we've been around each other barely a week and I can't remember what I did without you!" She laughed lightly and ruffled his hair affectionately again. Greed was weird when she was happy... but then again.. she was weird most of the time anyways....

Re: Falling for you
Now was when a miracle had befallen the world. A sweet smile spread calmly across his face and he reached out a hand to ruffle her hair back, thinking it was some sign of affection that humans did that Zeeva had taken up. Well, he would partake if it would make Zeeva even happier. He watched her with his own...happiness? His chest felt lighter--even without the still-healing hole--almost like he could return her laughter. At the moment he didn't, just merely showing her his smile. To him, it felt great to be needed, to be given a purpose that didn't involve ending lives. He wasn't ordered around like a dog, and his hands weren't covered with blood. This was so much easier, so much less bothersome, and he enjoyed it too. Not only that, but she enjoyed it too. What was better? He was so overwhelmed suddenly by the onslaught of this fact that he swayed slightly and almost fell over. Why hadn't he found Zeeva earlier... like before he went through the trouble of trying to kill himself? No, he didn't deserve this smile; he still had to die...eventually. But for now, he would assist Zeeva for the sake of her happiness, not his own. "What else should I do now?" He asked, quietly, his eyes glazing over with the inability to figure out what to do and a frown forming from the concentration.

Re: Falling for you
Greed blinked as he ruffled her hair back. That was odd in itself as well. She managed a soft smile and laughed, popping open a bottle. As the boy asked what he should do, she looked at him curiously. "What to do? No worries, you can just relax, have some fun, smile for God's sake." She grinned and leaned forward, kissing his forehead. "I like when you smile, makes me feel like I've done something right." She plopped in her chair and threw back a swallow of the first bottle, her legs crossed, one foot tapping as the other rested on the ground. She hummed then stretched her neck, rolling her head around once before leaning back. She eyed Kira carefully and held up the bottle, asking in all complete seriousness, "Did you want some?" Greed was offering to share, a rare sight indeed and how strange was it, that she thought of what Envy had told her after their last fight. Sometimes you have to ignore those feelings.

Re: Falling for you
Kira smiled slightly. Her words were too overpowering for him. When she kissed his forehead, he felt like his useless heart skipped a beat, but that might have just been the philosopher's stone regenerating it still. She had done another thing that was human...and it shocked him beyond belief. If he were a human, (pretending the situation did apply), he would have died from a heart attack from all the surprise he was being met with. Quickly, he mimicked her again, though he merely brushed his lips softly against her cheek before pulling away and staring at her quizzically. It wasn't exactly how she had done it, but maybe he added his own style... though style was troubling. Even so, he didn't feel strained. It took no effort, in fact, he hardly thought about it at all.
He followed after her and half leaned, half sat on the chair's armrest, watching her drink the stuff he had bought her. When she offered him some, he practiced the smile again. Though it was very faint, it reached his eyes which held a strange, unfathomable affection. Then he reached for the bottle quietly, taking it into his hands and drinking a mouthful. He swallowed it and blinked at her. What was so great about it? She acted like it was gold, but to him it tasted like good water. Oh, it was probably the 'good' part. The taste, she liked the taste. He decided he didn't mind it. It didn't bother him, thus, it was accepted.

Re: Falling for you
Greed nearly jumped when he returned her kiss with a peck on the cheek. Her eyes were wide with surprise and she brushed her han across the flesh where his lips had met her. Sghe tried to shake it off, but her face showed she was bright pink. She smiled at him in a reassuring way. Her hand stroked his cheek softly as he took a sip. He was different, but it was a good different, a likable different. She could tell he didn't obsess over the taste of the alcohol as much as she did, however she did realize that she was addicted to the stuff. As she gently took the bottle back, she took another swallow and blushed deeper. They had both touched this bottle with their lips... She rested a finger on her lips thoughtfully and blushed prefusely. Trying to shake it off, she tried to push away those thoughts. They were just friends, right? Like the rest of the homunculi. She couldn't help but stare at the boy, he was so strange, but she liked that about him.

Re: Falling for you
Kira didn't bother thinking about whether they were friends or not, besides he hardly knew anything about any sort of connection between people let alone friendship. He reached for the bottle and took another gulp. It was starting to taste better. A ghost of a smile formatted to his face as he handed it back and then started playing with a piece of her hair that was sticking out. It was silky...and it smelled like something he had never smelled before, maybe a flower? He dropped the strands and then touched his own hair, which was a mess of black, straight curls. The color of night, that was what his hair reminded him of--a night with no streetlamps. Lonely and obscure... He was frowning now as he thought about this, playing with his own hair and making it shine with his fingers under the glow of the florescent lights above. He liked that drink, but he didn't want to take more than he would be given. The last thing he could ever want was Zeeva's disapproval. He'd rather die, in fact he still desired death more than anything, but... She had told him to relax... He didn't really know how, but he did know that he wanted to listen to her.

Re: Falling for you
Zeeva blinked again, confused by his actions. She had seen a smile, but now he was frowning again and messing with his hair. Did he not like his hair? She thought it looked nice on him. She tilted her head, questioning what he was doing. He was quiet, she could tell he had been alone, without many people around for a long time. Hesitantly, she reached out and caught his hand. Her free hand held the bottle. Her brow furrowed in confusion, "Is something wrong?" She felt like she had offended him, which wouldn't surprise her, it seemed she was always offending someone. With a sigh, she took another sip of the alcohol. She adored the taste and for some reason it tasted better than usual. Maybe because she wasn't just inhaling it this time. With an inward chuckled, she focused back on Kira. He was always so thoughtful, or so it seemed. He was sloth, but he really seemed, quite special. She wondered if he wanted more alcohol... Maybe that was it, but he didn't want to ask. She was confused personally on how she was even sharing when her nature made her want everything to herself.

Re: Falling for you
He felt his hand cease movement and then noticed Zeeva had stopped him. "How..." Kira began, unsure. He regretted the words that came from his lips instantly. Now he had to finish the question regardless of how annoying it was. "...do you relax?" He asked as innocently as he could, trying to come up with his own answer before she gave him one. Blanking, he reached for the alcohol bottle tentatively, almost fearfully and took a gulp. It burned, his throat felt like it was on fire and his stomach was blazing. But it was warm... He decided to use a human expression that he had heard often when they received something of value. He hoped that this situation applied, but was still a bit confident it did. "Thank you..." He managed in a soft voice, fading out before the rest, "for everything." He almost wanted to say more, but he couldn't really come up with anything, and to think any more about it got in the way with what he was trying to get across.

Re: Falling for you
Greed laughed lightly, "Seriously?" She sighed and thought. "Well.." Hesitantly, she rested her hands on his shouders. "You want to know what relaxing feels like? I'll help ya, just don't freak out, okay?" Slowly, cautiously, while letting hi hold the bottle, she began gradually rubbing her thumbs in to his shoulderblades. As she rubbed his shoulders, she tried ignoring the fact that this was very weird and in fact she had never done this to anyone except Envy and Endavi on a very few occassions. Smoothly, she let her hands work in circles, gently pushing at his muscles which were very stiff no doubt. It made her frown slightly as she concentrated. What if she was hurting him? She doubted it, but still. And yet here she was, practically serving another person. She couldn't help but recognize the hilarious irony. "That feels okay, right?" She turned her head so she could see his face, hoping he was at least remotely enjoying himself.

Re: Falling for you
Kira tensed slightly when she touched his back, his nerves momentarily racing to control the situation. He resisted every urge he had except the one that involved closing his eyes. No, he wasn't going to 'freak out' because he was allowing himself the privilege to trust her. Most of all, the 'allowing' part involved no effort at all. It all flowed so perfectly, so simply, so evenly that everything about Zeeva made him feel as if he were floating. It reminded him of sleeping; the one thing that required nothing. And sleeping was like death without the nightmares. Was this what he sought? He couldn't quite grasp it, before his train of thought rammed into a mental wall and exploded. Kira turned his own head, shooting her a sideways glance that contained a small shimmer of the enjoyment he really was experiencing on the inside. He nodded and leaned back a little further. So this is was relaxing was... It wasn't much different from merely being.

Re: Falling for you
Greed smiled as she finished and kissed the top of his forhead again. "You look happier already." For some reason she felt happy too. It was almost unexpected. How could she feel so happy with anyone? Especially after the pain she had just suffered, but somehow it seemed Kira was able to heal that hole. He seemed so innocent and sweet and she doubted her ability to lead him well enough. It almost saddened her, but she didn't want to share him, no. Instead she wanted him all to herself. She hadn't even realized her embracement of the boy as she closed her eyes contently, his head resting lightly on her chest and her chin on his forehead. She was deep in thought, wondering when exactly it was that she became so mprotective of such a strange boy. Perhaps it was simply fatalism? Something forever fated.

Re: Falling for you
He was happy. He determined this with his thoughts that had previously hit the wall of his mind. Though he still couldn't grasp their meaning, he was satisfied with the outcome that at least made some sense. Soon the loosened muscles in his back made his eyes grow heavy until they were almost closed. Before he knew it, his head was against her chest and a warmth against the top of his head. His eyes shut the rest of the way and his mind drifted away without difficulty. What was this? He didn't understand such calm... warmth--only used to the cold. Was this what it was like to relax? The bottle lay loosely in his hands until it slid from his grasp and onto the couch, bouncing slightly against the opposite armrest. He didn't notice. Soon Kira's mind drew into oblivion and his breath evened out further until he was fast asleep.

Re: Falling for you
Greed blinked as she heard his voive evening out. He was at the exact point of relaxation, he had even fallen asleep, essentially in her arms. Greed's lips twitched into a genuine smile, but something occured to her. How was she going to move now? Sighing lightly she closed her eyes again and thought. This wouyld take a lot of effort. Slowly, she slid her arms out from around him and gently moved her chin from his head before sitting checking to make sure he was still sleeping. Confused slightly, she placed her hands on her hips and thought. What do I do now? I don't want to leave him... he'd freak out. But.. I need sleep too. Sitting back down on the couch, she let off a soft yawn. Maybe he would wake up in a couple minutes, then she could tuck him in. She blushed at the thought. What's wrongf with me? I'm acting like I own the kid, I'm just watching over him. Before she even realized it, she had her head resting on his shoulder, her own eyes closed. She was thinking. How annoying it was, her actually thinking things out. Impulse was so much easier...
