Re: Ropey ropes
It was not really that she hadn't luck with superiors, it was she the troublemaker and protocol breaker who brought that all to herself as the agent-inside got the upper hand over her actions. But she was even in agent days quite the beginner add to that she was and still the berserker type who deals with matters head on with aggressive attitude.
Regardless, she got herself reprimanded by the general brigadier eventually losing her chance to make the good impression, she was not given the chance to speak for herself and she was not the type to speak if not asked to. So she swallowed the bitter taste and took her leave to the anti-hazard truck where she to be decontaminated with all kind of sprays and such. Great, she got herself a shower of vapors, sprays and smells of sterilization probably in that decontamination room shedding away her set of clothes.
Soon after, she was to take the real shower, the one which wash away sweet, blood and make oneself refreshed and clean. Great, With her being cleansed of blood, no one would get their necks bitten and blood sucked. A new set of anonymous security uniform was ready for her use. Soon dressed, she would step out probably to find the general Stuka and private Raziah somewhere.
Probably too, there would be some kind of debriefing and maybe more mental punishment but she is Angelika, she would manage somehow.

The ride towards the hazard building was quite long, Nikolaus took a sip of a whiskey he procured from somewhere, finding the bitter drink quite sweet to the taste, enjoying it as it loosened up whatever ailed him. Or rather it increased his void that encompasses his being, that emptiness to which no food can sate him, no thrills satisfy him. A third boundless and as null as the never ending black hole. He snapped his attention back to the roads, flinging away the flask, he couldn't enjoy even a drink nowadays. Lately, it became disgusting to the taste. Not enjoyable. Too repulsive, the stinging fumes of booze made him hate it more than ever, his joy in life gone. But he had others.
=Some driving later=
He was within the confines of the hazard building, rubbing his chin, his eyes was fondled by glowing green liquid the other side of a sealed glass panel. Men in thick and bulky anti-toxic and anti-radiation suits were inspecting the containment of the material, for any compromises they searched, even a single crack is dangerous. But so far, the results have labeled them safe.
"Sir, were lucky there wasn't a leak, these sort of chemicals are the most powerful nerve toxins. A single inhalation would have killed a person." The scientist says.
Nikolaus nods, "It must be because they hate Amestris. To think they'd resort to killing civilians with such sloppy methods."
"Sir?"
"Why if I wanted to actually kill a lot of Amestrian civilians, I would've merely just made home made tasteless poison, spike some water supplies, and watch the chaos ensue."
"Erm... uh..."
"STOP STAMMERING. What's the status on Private Dahl and Sergeant Arnold?"
"Arnwald."
"Right, so what is it?"
"They are decontaminated, no signs of toxicity on them from the beginning, so they are checked out."
"Good, good. Keep this up and I may promote you."
"But... I am not a military soldier... I am just a scientist."
"Saves me the paperwork, now scram. If anyone asks, let them know to come and see the green stuff being prodded for."
The scientist nods, setting off his way meekly. Looking for the ginger and vanilla pair.

Re: Ropey ropes
Once they had arrived at their destination, the building used as an operations base for all the hazard based business, things went on almost by themselves. While the person in charge, a certain Nikolaus person, left the scene for some report, discussion or something, lots of lower class handimen gathered up and started unloading the confiscated solution they had found earlier with the band of criminals. While the two lower grade central security members were lead to even more, preciser decontamination measures. Including another hot steam decontamination shower gas thing, a complete change into un-sullied sets of uniform and a quick checkup if they had retained any negative effects to their health and mental functions from whatever it was they found - that a certain someone even dares to un-lid without knowing.
Not exactly fond of the whole undressing, redressing, drying, probing, and everything else that came with it -after all she still had many things to hide, specially optically; which Raziah managed to do by clever turning of the back and tactically well-placed towels- she sat trough the whole prcedure that seemed ot take forever, while it was in fact maybe an hour, in extreme case 2 hours tops.
So just about when they were declared "clean enough" and released from the decontamination-dedicated part of the building, the next labcoat with a person in it approached them, requesting them to follow his instructions so they could reach the room their supervisor was hanging out at, observing the progress on whatever they had discovered today. As it seemed a clear instruction by the man himself, the better be following the order. Minutes later, the two of them found themselves in front of the glass panel their direct commanding person had been standing in front of for a while now. "So, like, wha'ssit they had stored there? Also, what will become of the situation now, that, like, we interferred with their plans 'n all. Surely they'll not jus' leave it be now." She wasn't really one for waiting until their presence was taken note of, so Raz just got right into Niko's ear whily trying to make heads or tails form what she could observe to be happening on the other side of the glass. After all, it wasn't his ass on the line back there, and their work that got this around, so the ginger eyepatch person demanded to get some details, be it befitting for her to do it or not being rather irrelevant.

Ginger and vanilla, Vanilla and ginger. Ginger who acted like ginger and vanilla who didn't act like vanilla. Regardless, the duo was declared born anew and cleansed of all toxic sins. Private Ginger in all sly and wry hid away her optical disability where all what was needed was a simple augmentation to remove such inability via a daily proven technology they call the 'auto-mail- but again the fallen angel didn't notice ginger dead eye with her towel hideous tactful antics.
Both of them, the duo were led to where General Stuka waited with him being in front of this glass panel. The private quick and deadly like a Gatling gun firing asked the commander chef of security with that attitude of I never asked for this about the detained cargo, of what happens by then? and what happens later?
Angelika on the other hand kept her mouth sealed and shut since she was after all the one who assumed the mantle of ventrue who opened the pandora box and lucky her pandora didn't leak. Maybe she did know it was sealed for she the malkavian in disguise.
Who know? but certainly the general would tell them a thing or two..

Re: Ropey ropes
"Amazing..." Nikolaus said out loud with a beaming smile, this instrument of death might be useful one day, Nikolaus would think, why would he bother debeaking a weapon like this? An asset to be decommissioned rather than weaponized and used some time in the future? He could naught but relish in these thoughts as he wallowed about for potential... usage of enemy assets. It is often those assets are scorned by others, Nikolaus appreciates most. Leaving behind a plethora of tools to be used and a wide availability, all at the enemy's expense... typically.
"So, like, wha'ssit they had stored there? Also, what will become of the situation now, that, like, we interfered with their plans 'n all. Surely they'll not jus' leave it be now."
His smile dawned to nothing but a vacant expression on his face when he heard that voice reaching for his attention that seemed quite plastered unto the container of death and despair. All he could say back to her as a greeting was, "Oh, finished already?"
He rubbed his chin habitually, as he turned to face the newcomer, Raziah, with an inquisitive look as well as Angelika. Walking left and right, watching the both of them, not returning any further response for a few seconds, before it piqued to him on what must be done.
"There are deadly toxins inside, airborne type. The sort that can get into your skin pores, and mess up with your system, whilst making your death quite painful as possible. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera." He waves his hand in his elaboration, "This shipment is obviously military grade, the sort of stuff that takes millions to buy off the Black Market."
He rubs his chin once more, piquing his deduction as he thinks, and thinks some more. He has dealt with a few cases like these back when he was a foot man in Security, and already has experience in the field, back when he was a "scout" for an undisclosed Amestrian branch a few years back. Having some wealth of knowledge on Xingese groups primarily, Drachma on the other hand is merely thoughts based upon common knowledge, and how their Drachman Mafiya operates.
"Under that assumption, we can safely presume the organized crime we're dealing with has financial backing of some sort. Now it's really simple in dealing with them. Considering we're dealing with Xingese and Drachmans as identified, we're enforcing a new racial profiling on all Xingese and Drachmans. It'll narrow down our list of suspects, contrary to what those liberal pundits in the media says. I recommend looking through any large collections of Xingese and Drachman communities in Amestris, preferably places like Xingtown. No doubt we'll gain a lead based on our stake outs."
He points his finger dramatically at Raziah then, "AND! Here is another thing. Due to the fact you lived in a situation where otherwise most officers should have died, demonstrating competence and deducing that indeed that container is dangerous, saving Angelika's life from possible death, as well as Central's populace. I hereby promote you from Private to Sergeant." He says in a long explanatory form, finding his ego fondled by the fact he has all the time to reveal exposition to two officers whether they agree to or not, "Not bad for a first day."
Then he looks at Angelika, "You're off the hook, for now. Your newest assignment is to accompany Sergeant Dahl here around as her partner, and investigate this case, and I recommend actually brushing up on your local safety symbols, as well as foreign... something tells me things will be... nuclear hot in the future."

It was unusual for Nikolaus to actually be on the point for once. Usually he was kind of sharp, but generally off, living in his own distorted world alongside the reality - thus usually just talking loosely sense-filled stuff. So they would be looking for some hints around the focus points of these groups they just stirred up earlier. That could be interesting. Maybe she would also have to shoot some more people. In pure self-defnece, naturally. The remark about some random promotion being given, Raziah nooted, but didn't exactly make a big fuss about it herself. But she did hope he would remember to have that officially noted along the salary increase that went with it.
Readying to leave without further notice -knowing him, not arguing would suffice for him to understand she had understood- Raz turned to the exit and just waited another second, halting her step, if Vanilla would agree with her conclusion or if she had any complaints at this point.

Indeed, on that short notice, on that brief meeting. The ivory-haird fallen angel that is Angelika and pardon the 'is' for she is still alive, came to realize certain revelations which were quick to take hold of like the full moon in the black night of a mid-Arabian month.
The container was and still extremely toxic containing the puke of those nightmare creatures of hell. Simply put, it contained nasty stuff that would kill people in an instant with gore-ish effects, good thing there was not any booby traps in that one. Next in the list, Drachmans and Xingese were to be considered the cause behind all green stuff evil -from some reason, I always envision toxin as slimy green substance, pardon my generals naivety. Oh, wait there was blue anthrax as well. How did I forget that? - and they are to be screened out and hunted down like mad dogs. The private promoted from being a private to a sergeant. Ah, the general brigadier vested in his power and gladly for Angie, he didn't vest in his power a lot too much, for he let her out of the hook. And lastly future is the boogie man waiting for someone's sleep.
Of course, it was not that lastly. Before noting that future is going to be nuclear hot - quite beautiful the lady is- he commanded them of investigating this matter of toxins and issue of blood money and black markets. As for vanilla, she was blessed to be in the company of delicious Ms. Dahl who in all silence and without prior notice left the scene. And well, Angelika had no complaints so she saluted and followed ginger head.
Once out of there, Angie would speak..
So sergeant. Dahl, Do you have plans regarding our current mission?
Indeed, ask before be asked.

Re: Ropey ropes
Nikolaus waved them off as they left the vicinity. Leaving him to smile maliciously, as darkness panned in over one stretch of his face to make some contorting shades that pervert his otherwise serene looking face to be most sinister. Rubbing his hands as he eyed the chemicals. There was nothing done to disarm it, only store it... yes, store it closely. He turns around and took another exit by another door way. Leaving the scientists to their designs in that hard sealed room, lest any leaks actually doom the entire quadrant that is this building. Not a good start to lose valuable experience that comes from waste management teams that deals with hazards such as these.
He took nonchalant steps off, clutching to his saber in a lacking of goose steps so involved in a militaristic march that is often seen in Jingoistic societies such as Amestris's. One so artificial, one that never should have existed yet it did, with its own unique derivatives. Leading himself outside upon a whim, with closed fists and wide open eyes taking in everything about and around him like the philosophy of Heaven and Earth. In other words, just the way out, he finds it a hassle navigating these labyrinth like buildings, whose idea was designing a maze out of the corridors anyways?
