DESCRIPTION:
→ Zhi has raven black hair that moves about as if it's true meaning of life is to mimic seaweed. It's cut short and is always attempted to be put into a side part office hairstyle, but never makes the bar. To make matters worse, Zhi's small, catlike eyes with their thin pupils make him look very sinister when he becomes serious. The fact that one eye is dark brown and the other bright green doesn't help either. His rounded face and soft pale skin confuses many a male and confuses him for a woman, which you never want to do in the middle of a fight or battle.

His love of color and odd fashion was coaxed by his odd body shape. He had wider hips and a very skinny body, making all sorts of clothing look good on him. He likes wearing small vests, cross-belts and anything modern and clean-cut. The thing that makes him standout more is his bright purple rounded glasses he wears everywhere, giving weird dimensions to his already foreign-looking face.

PERSONALITY:
→ Thinks: In Zhi's inner mind, he finds life as a complex puzzle and loves to sit around and figure out how each piece fits. He thinks of himself as a devilishly handsome man and an innovator in both battle and music, though the cold truth is that he isn't any of those. He always has an empty smile on his face, leaving his inner-thoughts on the forefront of his mind. Whenever in an argument he looks at things in his puzzle game. This piece went here and where should I go? Nothing seems to perturb him unless it's about how feminine he looks. When that happens, his inner world crashes down and he begins to mope in a corner, no matter where he is.

Zhi seems like a quirky oddball to everyone but his close friends who realize he's wrapped up in his own little world. He sleeps outside no matter the weather and always on his back with one hand on his bag of valuables and one tightly clutching his boots; whether they're on or off his feet. When he finds something pretty or new, he rips out his pencil and paper and sketches intensely. He won't talk, grunt or have any sign of living until it's done. His personal habit is biting his right pinky when he's frustrated or nervous and his pet peeve is manners.

Only when he's serious or intensely tired will he frown. In war itself he thinks that art and music should never be brought to the battlefield for it gives war a sense of dignity to it's name. Where as it's a horrible tragedy for everyone and every thing that has to take place. Though due to his love for song he chose his weapon of alchemy to be a cello. It contradicts everything he said about war and it's dignity, but he wants the dead to know that there will still be hope for things like music and art for generations to come. Even after their death. After every conclusion of a war or brutal fight, he will brush off the metal scraps from his instrument and play a sad song.

HISTORY:
→ Zhi was born in the slums of Xing and raised up to the age of two until he was given to a group of smugglers who crossed the desert over to Amestris for better lives that didn't come. Zhi was brought up in East City's slums with several other children of every color and race. He learned how to use his body and the buildings to his advantage, but it wasn't enough. He wanted to learn more than how to pickpocket newcomers. Yet, he never had the means to.

One day changed his whole young life and turned it on end. A group of friends and himself were about to rob this man's house since they couldn't grab his wallet in the alleyways. They went in through his bathroom and made sure he was out in his odd garden. His friends grabbed the silverware, wallets, fancy clothing, and anything else they could get their hands on. Zhi was so entranced with how tidy the house was that he nearly got left behind. So he filched a golden objects with a bunch of strings tied to it and ran to the window, but after the last of his friend's legs went over and out the window closed shut and a shadow loomed over him. It was the old man again!

Zhi looked at the object he was about to run off with and looked back up at the man, who snatched up the golden piece and examined it. "Do you know what this is?" Zhi shook his head quietly. " It's called a Harp. It makes music based off of math." The old man thrilled the strings one by one. At that moment, Zhi's ears heard the first of many notes that will be played. After the old man realized the boy was an orphan, he took him in after signing a few papers over a period of 8 months. Zhi hated the man at first, but finally learning something new such as "Amestrian text" and "Math" gave him a new lease on life.

He studied, worked hard and gained new habits and quirks as he got older. The old man then pulled the rug right under him. " Alchemy can be used easily now." Zhi heard very little about Alchemy until now. After giving a short demonstration of what it was, the old man literally "threw the book" of alchemy at Zhi and told him to read it. Zhi's bruised and trained mind quickly absorbed the concept and began practicing. Soon, all of his transmutations began to surround the idea of eternal music.

Zhi decided he wanted to get into weapons training, since everything in life can be related to math he used it to defeat people in fighting rings and gained profit from it, keeping it from the old man. Though to every adventure with Zhi, the old man found out in the end and instead of condoning it, he helped Zhi with the training. At the end of his twenties, he became a master at stringed-weapons and strictly a professional with weapons in general. He moved to central and was accepted as an alchemist after being proclaimed the "Singing String Alchemist". Due to his high ability in agility, and weaponized combat he was placed in South City.

- If he was in Xing for two years since birth, and didn't know what Amestrian was, wouldn't it be logical to give him the capacity to speak Xingese?

- If he was turned in, wouldn't the police have founded out he was an illegal immigrant?

- Name is Aerugese, best change it to suit Xingese names (Chinese names).

Finished. I'm sorry that I got you a tad confused. He was brought over from Xing when he was two so of course he's going to speak Amestrian. I was talking about the reading and writing aspects of Amestrian. Either way I changed it to make it more clear.

4. Alchemic ability: Take out the 'alkahestric' part anddd none of that made sense to me. I don't know if it's because it's 4:30 am or what, but I don't even see the alchemy part in that description. Maybe there's a better way to explain it? What I got is there's this glove that is a bracelet that has strings, but also a blade or something that is poisoned and lights on fire with ignition fluid...Where is the alchemy?
