On the Job
Click, click, click. A smirk crossed her lips, and the woman suddenly stepped forwards through the snowy ground, drawing the blade from the holster that sat upon her hips, swinging it around with a look of cool power drawn across her face. The first man rushed at her, and the woman didn't flinch; her body moved swiftly as the blade cut itself across his chest. She grinned, and placed a hand onto the ground; her body pushed through the air by the sudden action. A hand went up and behind her, grabbing a single amount of powder from a bag behind her back. Grinning, the hand went out, throwing the powder into the air in front of her. She closed her eyes, and clicked her fingers; a small burst of fire spread out into the powder and ignited it. A bright flash came from the powder, and a few of the men stepped backwards, holding hands over their faces. landing on her feet and opening her eyes, the woman suddenly pushed forwards, drawing the sword backwards once more and making another pass, a few more blinded men falling to the ground. Smirking, she moved around backwards on another foot and spun towards the next person to come towards her. He raised his own weapon into the air, swinging it down at her with a shout. Gritting her teeth, the weapon clashed with hers; she felt herself being pushed downwards by unrelenting force. Biting her lip, she suddenly let herself drop, the man's force causing him to lose balance and fall over her body. She grinned, and flicked the sword out behind her back, clicking a switch and causing it to meld into the gun form.
"Pig." She planted her hand onto the ground, pushing herselfu p and into the air, pointing the barrel of the gun at the man's face. She pulled the trigger thrice, and three almost completely silent shots flew towards him and blasted through his head. She grinned and turned back towards the ground, planting red shoes onto the icy earth. A soft smile twitched onto pale lips, and Gaia Bianchi closed her eyes, kneeling down and touching her heart with a chuckle. "Requiescat in pace..." She smiled, and slowly stood up once more, flicking the gunblade around and sliding it into the holster once more, yawning. She really didn't need such paltry jobs. Being paid such a small amount to kill three men? She had to wonder what people really thought of the value of human lives. That said, she wasn't one to talk--she had just killed, and killed, and killed again, all for money. Sirens. The police would be coming soon, she would have to leave as soon as possible. Her bullets weren't marked with ballistic markings due to their unique method of creation, and as for the men... she looked over her shoulder and sighed. They wouldn't be telling the police any time soon. She had to wonder, though. This part of North City was secluded; industrial. How had she been noticed...? No, that was of little to no consequence. All would be fine; she was sure of it. And so, Gaia ran off into the distance, away from the deaths that lay behind her.
