      DESCRIPTION:
→ Syphan is a seemingly unremarkable young man, save for one feature, his piercing stormy gray eyes. Eyes that in a certain light seem to sparkle with tiny bits of red, green and blue. Black spiky hair sticks out of his scalp, giving his hairdo a continually slight unkempt look; as if he had just woke up and ran his hand over it a couple times to look a little presentable. Standing at one hundred eighty centimeters he is tall but not enough to really stand out. Weighing in at seventy-five kilogram, the young man is well-toned and muscular but not enough to draw a lot of attention. His lightly tanned skin tone shows his mixed heritage but does not expose a particular ethnicity. It is unmarred by any marks that could identify him, save one, on his chest slightly to the right of his heart is a scar from a bullet wound.

Covering his lower half is a pair of partially faded black jeans with a few small tears and frayed edges along the bottoms. His toned upper physique is adorned with a black t-shirt that has an abstract design in a crimson color. Over it all, he wears a black leather trench coat that is close to fraying at the bottom. Adorning his wrist, beneath the coat, is something that almost looks like a slim shackle. Hanging from his neck is a silver chain with a small locket on it. On the front of the locket are many small intricately carved designs. Flip side is similar designs with three letters in the center, V.A.C.

If one were to watch Syphan interact with people, he always seems to blend in wherever he goes. The moment he leaves, it almost seems like everyone there loses all memory of him. He speaks softly in a voice that seems to be twinged with very little emotion and seems to quickly fade into the wind, unless he is speaking to you directly.

The only time the young man seems to change from this stoic manner is when he is in the presence of an Alchemist. Those that pay him attention then can seem him visibly trembling while a dark scowl crosses his face and his eyes narrow beneath furrowed brows. At such a time he is usually quick to leave the area.

        ...........................................................................

        PERSONALITY:
→ Syphan is a survivor first and foremost, always putting that as his top priority. Survival is that which drives him and will force him to struggle through anything, refusing to give up. On the surface he does not really seem to have much personality, when talking to people he will sometimes allow a slight cheerfulness appear. That however belies the truth of who he really is inside.

Beneath the surface Syphan is a very calculating individual who is usually measuring all the angles, weighing all the options. He is quite a bit cynical, believing that all humans have some sort of agenda that they are constantly trying to further and only use other humans to do so. Emotionally inside he is still stunted due to the way he was raised and feels few emotions in force besides anger or fear. As such it has caused him to develop voices that are tied to an emotion or an emotional view. Despite the voices, Syphan is usually very stable and in control.

It is the alchemists, always the alchemists, that bring about a total and complete change in Syphan, both in his mannerisms and his mental thought process. While he scowls and trembles outside inwardly his state begins to crumble into chaos. Two voices rage at him, screaming their demands in volumes so loud they threaten to break him. Despite the voices at full volume Syphan feels the emotions of anger and fear fully, overwhelmingly so. At this point when the chains that bind his emotions threaten to break and unleash emotional hell upon him, Syphan's desire for survival demand's escape.

There is something buried deep beneath the surface of Syphan's psyche,, however. Something very soft and gentle, something that yearns to be felt. Its presence can be subtly observed by the way the young man will sometimes reach for the locket with a gentle caress, without even seeming to realize it.

His emotional stoicism and the faceted voices are from the years of training he received within the experiment. The uncontrollable rage and fear at the presence of an alchemist is from the years of conditioning he received within the experiment. The cynical nature of his though process is from the way everyone treated in during the years of the experiment. But that soft touch buried which longs to be felt, that is something left over from before the training and conditioning... Something back from when the locket had a true meaning for Syphan, as did the word family.

        ...........................................................................

        HISTORY:
→Born into the world on February twenty-ninth in the leap year nineteen ninety-two to an Amestrian/Esparian mother and a Aerugese/Drachman father. The first five years of his life were like any child's health and happy. However on the eve of his fifth birthday his entire life changed. His parents were not cruelly slaughtered and he was not stricken by some sort of trauma. No, Syphan does not seem to remember that life at all. At the age of five he was taken from his family to be enrolled into an experimental program known as Hound. Hound's purpose was to create a perfectly trained chameleon assassin. Someone who could easily go anywhere and use anything to kill anyone.

For the next ten years of his life the boy would be trained. Day after day the bot would learn techniques of martial arts, how to use almost anything as a weapon and the skills needed to not be noticed by his fellow man. Every human he came into contact with during these ten years treated him not like one of their own but like some sort of an object or tool. And so it was an extremely lonely time for the boy which caused him to develop voices that represented his suppressed emotions. He would tell no one of this, afraid that they would somehow take away his only companions.

At the end of those ten years they tested the skills of their prime subject and he performed beautifully. He killed anyone they sent him after with ease and he easily blended in anywhere they placed him. His reward was ice cream, a taste of wonderful sweetness that he would never forget. A sad reward for taking the life of another human but the boy had forgotten that they could have any value at all. At least any human save himself, he himself was highly valuable and had been trained to believe so.

When the boy continued to prove himself over the following six months, he was chosen as the subject of the second phase and the true purpose of Hound. He would be conditioned to specifically seek out and kill Alchemists. Over the next year and a half he would undergo the special training he needed to identify Alchemists and kill them. This was not enough for the Hound team, however. They wanted a truly mad dog to hunt the Alchemists. Someone who would make them suffer.

Thus began the conditioning of the boy. Up until now they had wanted him to be stoic and emotionless but now they needed to create a trigger. They needed to create a hatred with the boy that set him off against alchemists and yet they need a control factor. So they first conditioned Syphan to believe that he must always survive the mission no matter what. Then began the indoctrination of hatred against alchemists and anything related to them (Chimera, Homunculi, transmutation circles). Finally they chose to add one last control factor, fear. They believed that by also causing him to have a healthy dose of fear for his prey would for him to wait for the most opportune moment to strike.

For two years the boy was subject to their conditioning. After such a time came the final test. Having captured an alchemist, they placed the boy and the alchemist in the same room, without telling the boy the man was an alchemist. The boy entered to find the man siting in the chair. Surprised by the age of the one who had entered, the man initiated conversation to try and pry information about his situation.

Slowly as the talked the boy gleaned his own information and began to realize that this man was his prey. This man was everything that he must remove from the face of the earth. Hatred began to well up and the boy almost struck but something else welled up within him. A paralyzing fear overcame him and he could only stand there trembling before the man. After several minutes the scientists of Hound realized what had happened.

They tried to undo the fear conditioning and to some extent it worked. The next time he was tested, Syphan was no longer paralyzed with fear but instead began to try to escape the room in a panic. He was deemed a failure. Years of work would have to be redone but this one could not be saved. And so Syphan would receive his scar from the head of Hound himself, before being left for dead.

But the young man's conditioning for survival forced him to cling to life, the bullet barely missed his heart and major arteries. He would be saved and brought to the hospital where he would recover.

Not sure if I want him to wake up in the hospital now or perhaps add a bit more.
