      DESCRIPTION:
→ A sweet little innocent albino girl would be the first thing that you'd think when looking at Shokolat. With her wide, seemingly curious eyes whose color seems to shift between red and violet, and the paleness of her skin. Not all albino's hold this quality of course, it is just...an aura you could say. Her lips are petite and cute you could say, her long silver hair usually extending freely down her back with some bangs that hang in her face. Her eyes are rather large which probably adds to that childish charm she possess, and even the way she speaks is soft. Yet her voice itself is of a medium tone, not too high or too low. It also holds a maturity that throws off the young appearance she retains.

But all is not well in such a pretty face. While she can stare at you sweetly with an inquisitive stare, it hides the distance that she places between herself and other people. Her gaze becomes distant, even cold and steely as she stares apathetically into space. And even on other occasions a kind of depravity slips in as a cruel little smile finds its way to her lips. As if she wants nothing more than to see you writhe in discomfort and fear, or maybe its more some sort of hidden reasoning that we will never really know. She is a creature of strangeness, and there is no doubt about yet. Sometimes she might touch her hands to her cheeks while blushing and staring at you with those iridescent eyes of hers, the childishness of her face only adding to the creep factor and sense of dread that such an expression can bring.

She looks like your average girl on the outside. She has a petite form, standing at 5'3" with a shapely enough body, but nothing too extreme. Her favorite style of clothes is what you'd call gothic lolita, fitting rather well with the doll-like quality she can possess. Then... there are her wings. Black feather wings that sprout from her back. She doesn't have the biggest wing-span to be sure, but its certainly nothing to necessarily sneeze at either. Note than an average albatross wingspan is 8.2-11.5 feet. Her wings are about 9 ft or so. She can't glide or fly upon them so at this point they are mostly for show. They still flap to look pretty, create a wind if she flaps them hard and fast enough. She is a dark angel, a pretty porcelain angel who would still look beautiful even if blood splattered across her pale skin. But she doesn't get exposed to such things often. No... because of her mix with a bird, her bones have become hollow and are thus rather weak. It's not as sever as the Glass Man in Unbreakable or Joker from Mass Effect, but they certainly aren't as strong as your average person. So if she does end up in a fight, she tries to end it as quickly as possibly with as accurate a strike as possible.

        ...........................................................................

        PERSONALITY:
→ Normally she is a rather demure child with the elegance and reverence befitting that of a Victorian woman which is a bit strange in this day and age. Especially from one so young. She views respect as something that must be earned, but she freely gives it if you are her elder. So many of her idea's are rather old-fashioned. Such as how a man should speak to a woman, or how men and women shouldn't be alone in the same room. True, the fact she holds such principles is no real fault of her own, but they have certainly been embedded pretty deeply into her psyche.

Though... this old-fashionedness may also be attributed to a certain lack of... stability she has. Normally she appears as a regular girl should, with a pleasant disposition if not but a little distant and introverted. But for her? Reality... isn't the same reality we view. To her, there is a constant neo-fantasy reality like that of a video game. It's like skyrim has literally come to life, and has taken over her life. She believes that she sees fairies, that there are witches and warlocks (alchemists pretty much), that there are white mages (alkahestric healers), and monsters (some chimera, people, etc). Obviously she has learned to keep quieter about her perception of the world considering no one seems to view it as she does. And everyone tries to tell her that she's wrong! And yet some almost seem charmed... She doesn't know what to think of people, so she goes her own way. She will finish this adventure! For that is what she is on, a grand adventure. She's just missing the quest marker is all. Thankfully no one has tried to commit her yet.

This leads us to the strangest thing about her, that again isn't really her fault. She believes that she is a doll. Literally. A doll with its joined limbs, it's carved perfections (or imperfections), and blinking eyes. No one has convinced her otherwise, no matter what proof they set forward. If she bleeds, she believes its the magic leaking out that has brought her to life. When her bones break, she believes she needs to be mended. She doesn't comprehend that she's a human being at all. She believes that she is an unfinished doll that her creator forgot to add the finishing touches to. Thats how she explains her weak bones, since thats how it was explained to her. Her... father wasn't the best guy in the world if you couldn't tell.

        LOVE:
        → Gothic Lolita
        → Cookies
        → Manners
        → The piano
        → Singing
        → Reading
        → Her father, Bernardo

        HATE:
        → Feeling useless
        → Roses
        → Impoliteness
        → Being touched
        → Tea
→ Her body, namely her bones

        DEEPEST SECRET:
→ She believes she is an incomplete doll brought to life by a wizards spell.

      IDOL:
        → Pinocchio

        ...........................................................................

        HISTORY:
→ "You are my darling little doll..." That was something her father used to say to her so often while she was just a babe. It was the two of them, out in the frozen tundra of Gelemort, only the wasteland was their company. The nearest settlement was at least a mile or two away, leaving the little family very alone in the snow. Shokolat never knew her mother, and she never thought to ask her papa about it. He was always working and he always got so mad if she interrupted him. He was working on something called "alchemy." When she asked him about it, he explained, "It's a magical thing darling. It's magic based off science!" She didn't understand what this thing called 'science' was. So she asked him then, "Is it like the fairy lady from Pinoky?" She had trouble saying Pinocchio back then. He knew what she meant. He laughed at her analogy and pulled her up onto his knee. She was only five or so at the time! "Yes my doll, like the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio." See, that she could understand!

Now her father, Bernardo, was a hardworking man. A man whose entire life was based upon traditions, and his work. He wasn't someone who focused on the nicer things in life for he was far more fascinated by this science of alchemy. Especially with these creatures called "chimera." Now during his life, he had been in a group who created and studied such people but that was many years ago. He met his wife there, and that is how Shokolat came to be. Poor girl didn't get to see how the marriage had deteriorated, nor know why her mother had died. She didn't even understand all of the things her father did with her. Whenever she asked him what he was doing, he said he was testing spells upon her to make her "his perfect little doll." The man... had problems. Yes, he made his daughter the final test subject towards the perfection of his work. He wanted to touch the face of God through her hands!

This is why he worked tirelessly and paid so little attention to his daughter who was so obedient. Sometimes he felt a twinge of regret for what he was doing to her but... She seemed so happy for the attention, the feeling didn't last long. Shokolat loved her father dearly for he was all that she had and knew. So while he worked, she would read. Books upon books of these fantasy novels that Bernardo would pick up for her in town. She wasn't aloud to touch the alchemy books that he had in his personal library, and he was a scary man when he was mad. She often hid under the table when he was having a bad moment. He never hit her though! Papa would never do that! Papa loved her, and she was his darling doll! She didn't mind it when he dressed her up, or taught her manners, or anything. For papa was talking to her. Papa was away from his work for once! At the same time though... there was darkness brewing in the young girls heart. She didn't attend school like other girls her age upon the excuse from her father that he needed her there with him at home.

Years passed until she was thirteen years old when the craziest thing happened. Her father came bursting into the kitchen while she was cooking them breakfast, startling her a bit so that she almost dropped the spoon she was holding. "Shokolat, come quick! I have made the greatest discovery!" It made her happy to see him so excited. He had been in such a slump over the last couple of days, and it was beginning to worry her. Was papa having trouble with his spellbooks? She didn't understand some of the words she saw when she peeked over his shoulder on the rare occasion he'd let her visit him while he wrote in his notebooks. "What is it papa?" So she followed after him up the stairs to the attic where his workshop was, the one place she was forbidden to go in their modest little home. Sometimes she heard strange noises come from there, but usually papa told her to leave the house and go to town when he had experiments to do. Said he didn't want to risk the magic attacking her somehow. It was something she had never questioned till now.

So when she reached the top of the stairs before him, she didn't expect the cloth that covered her mouth that made the world go swirly then black. What was papa doing.... Bernardo stared at the crumpled form of his daughter and his expression had softened, but there was a light in his eyes. He had done it. He had perfected the formula, and now... Now it was time for the final test. It was time for Icarus to reach the sun, for his blasphemous work to come to fruition! So he tenderly carried his daughter forth, seeking to create his greatest work yet. He didn't yet realize what his hubris and pride would do to his fragile little family. He didn't realize the consequences of all those years of allowing his daughter to believe in whatever she wanted to believe in. He didn't think of how she may or may not fit into society after this. He didn't even consider how she might feel about all this. After all, she was so eager to help him right? She'd probably smile and clap her hands together in eagerness! Yes yes, this was all good!

Time passed... and Shokolat awoke dazed and confused in a chair with her hands and legs tied together with soft cloth. As anyone would be, she was startled to awake to such things, starting to let out muffled cries of fear. "Papa... Papa! Papa whats going on?!" He walked into the room shushing her gently, cutting her free of the bonds that held her and smiled so warmly to her. She had never seen him so happy... "It's done my beautiful doll! It's done. How do you feel? Can you picture becoming a raven for me please? " He asked her excitedly, his hands resting softly upon the sides of her arms as she stared at him with her iridescent eyes. "I'm fine... I'm just surprised. Of course I can papa." Then PAIN. She screamed and screamed and it wasn't enough to ease any of the burning, white hot pain in her back! It was like she was breaking from her shoulder blades outward, her cries sounding like the screeching of a.. bird... What was happening?! Tears streamed down her face as she doubled over and twisted in pain, not even feeling her father that held her so. He just stared at her wide eyed and open-mouthed, watching his creation. Her wings and her nerves had connected, her bones changing to match the bird's necessary bone structure. His attempt at making a generation 3 chimera had failed as she unconsciously made her first attempt at transforming. No, she was just a second generation now. He didn't understand, he had done everything right! His daughter lay there, sobbing in his arms her black wings wet and limp for now. No... could she still touch the face of God? Could she still bring his love down?

Now he had to explain to her what had happened, and so... He continued telling her it was magic. He told her it was a spell to try to make her whole. To solve everything! And you know what she did? She believed him. She didn't hate him. Her papa was a great wizard after all! She was honored to have him try this amazing spell upon her. Yet when she headed into town with him, the stares that she got from people.. They made her nervous. Friends of hers seemed to have some hesitancy behind their eyes, and she didn't understand why. Weren't there others like her? Didn't papa tell her that? Some people teased her, called her these names and she wondered, where was the guards? Why didn't anyone do anything? What had she done wrong? So she began to fear... And then it got worse.

It was two years later when she was sixteen that her father asked her to try something for him. She had to try to fly. She did have wings, right? And they were so big... They were like those big birds papa told her about! So she tried it. She flapped her wings as hard and as much as she could, even trying a running start outside in the snow. But... but she couldn't do it... Her father looked so upset when she got back to him. He looked mad... Really really mad... And for the first time, he hit her. He smacked her across the cheek and she tumbled to the ground in a heap of skirts and feathers. She yelped from surprise, clutching at the pinking flesh as she stared up at him in alarm. "Wh-why papa? I tried to do what you said I did! I'm sorry papa, I-" "Shut your goddamn mouth. God... Why has God denied me this?! What was it all for?! Even your mother-" He stopped short in his rage, turning suddenly on his heel and storming into the house. That was it. That was bloody it.

But Shokolat sat there still in the snow, his words making no sense to her. Mama? She had never met mama... She hadn't even seen any pictures... So what did he mean about mama? "...Papa?" She murmured softly as tears streamed down her face, her world feeling like it was collapsing. How fragile we are... He came outside with two bags in tow, and her jacket under his arm. His face... She couldn't look at him out of fear. He told her to get up, so she got up. And then they went into town. He took her to these men he knew, and they took her bags from him. Shokolat didn't understand, what was going on? "Papa? What is happening? Where am I-" "You are going away. And I will never see such a failure again. I love you, good bye." Those last words were so hollow... and his back was to the only child he had ever had. The only hope he had of touching the face of God. Now she was alarmed, staring at him as if she hadn't really heard him. Had she heard him right? She was... a failure? She was... incomplete? She wasn't his perfect doll? "..P-papa? But papa, I don't want to go. I love you papa, don't-" "I SAID GOOD BYE!" He roared as he walked away from her, leaving her in the arms of his friends as her wings flapped uselessly against the air. She screamed for him, she reached for him, she tried to fight against the arms that held her. Even as they squeezed her so tightly that it hurt, that it risked breaking her bones, she screamed like a young child being torn from its mother. And as he faded from sight, she calmed. She stared after him in disbelief as the men took her away to one of the more major cities where something could be done with her.

She wasn't really sure where life was taking her now, slipping further and further into her dream world perception of reality as if it were the only positive thing she had left. It was the only thing she could still cling to and have anything make sense... She had failed a quest. Thats why her papa was so upset with her, wasn't it? She just had to level up more right? She had to gain experience and stuff. Then... Then he'd accept her back and love her, right? So when she was taken to a government facility, she accepted it as the knights order needed to take her in and train her, help her. But in reality... Even the military was a bit at a loss of what to do with her considering she had such weak bones. That, and she was so young. What could they do with a 15 year old? In the end, Shokolat lived with one of the lovely women in the information department who took care of her. She wasn't really paying attention to all that was happening around her.

Another year past, and she was old enough to be accepted into the military. Sure, there was the occasional inspection of her during that time period, but she figured it was making sure she was proceeding as they wanted her to. In reality, they were worried about her. She did function well enough in the world but... they didn't know how to crack her problems. At least since she lived with Lexi, her mood seemed to have improved drastically since she was thrown out by her father. She was smiling, speaking, even occasionally singing when the mood struck her. She was even responding well to all the lessons she was receiving in things such as math, languages, and history. Ok so history was offering some trouble for her, but at least she still took it well. Now they let her join in the same department as her adoptive mother, helping in keeping records and passing along information. It was basically a secretaries job, but she didn't mind. She was gaining experience to leveling up!

Most people in her workspace enjoyed her company, and they didn't even seem to mind her wings that much! She did try to stay out of the way though, sometimes her wings accidentally smacked into people. Oopsie! As she watched these people though, she couldn't help but note how different they were from her. Were they dolls too? Or were they real men and women like her father? Some of them were wizards too, with all sorts of different spells that filled her with wonderment. She was there for another year or two until an idea began to form in her mind. There was countries on the mainland with lots and lots of wizards of varying sorts. Was there someone there who could make her whole? Who could finish the work that her father began and make her perfect? Make her be the perfect doll he wanted her to be? Shokolat asked Lexi about it, and then others around their department. Honestly, they were a little surprised to hear her wanting to go to Amestris.

It took some doing, but a month after she turned 19, she was off! She was to be some sort of secretive type person, occasionally sending reports back home of what she heard and saw on the mainland. They said they wanted more "eyes on what their fellows were doing." Or something like that... She'd happily do whatever they wanted her to as long as she could pursue her hope to become a real girl someday. To be welcomed back home with her papa!

REVISE

- The condition you are looking for within gaining avian qualities is hollow bones instead of the brittle bone syndrome, which no doubt would fracture easily upon minor inconveniences such as landing after gliding from a decent height. Consider these for your own good. Also to give plausibility to gliding as well as greater alacrity.
