Another Time in the Garden (Xan/Blake)

An Ishvallan walked into the Garden with an exhausted look on his face, like he had just gotten through submitting a report, doing some other form of paperwork, or had just finished a day of intense training. Naturally, Xan had submitted a report earlier, done the paperwork of a lazy higher-up, and finished his daily exercises earlier that day.

He was wearing his casual clothes, meaning a light black jacket over a white shirt and jeans. He was also sporting his favorite shades, because he wasn’t quite in the mood to have everyone he came in contact with gawk at him in wonder.

The Garden itself was a wonder of soft, comfortable grass and tall trees, with canopies so wide that together the trees cast shadows throughout most of the Garden, making it an amazing place to relax after a day’s hard work.

Without really thinking about much except for lying in the shade, Xan walked to the center of the Garden, where the biggest tree was located, and promptly stretched himself out on the grass underneath it.
