DESCRIPTION:
→ Once of average height, Hei has assimilated new biological and genetic material which, when combined with already abnormal internal functions, has resulted in spine-wrenching, utterly painful and bloodied growth. No seriously, he's pretty much gotten freaking taller, and it HURT LIKE HELL when it happened. Day in and day out growing pains, pretty much.
Still a straight-backed, humble-appearing man of Xing origin, except now he stands nine inches taller. Yes, his body has extended to match that height. It was a gradual effect, taking over the course of months, requiring alchemy, surgery, biological madness, the grafting of a chimera arm, additional treatments to the spine. But now I'm getting off-topic.
Hei stands at one hundred ninety-five centimeters, weighing in at one hundred four kilograms (an accumulation due to increased muscle mass as well as additional metal layers atop his skeleton). His skeleton is thoroughly coated with an alchemical metallic alloy that has given him many strengths, as well as ample enough irritations (like airport security for example).
His body is certainly marred by various wounds, light scars adorn multiple parts, representing where gashes were once made, or where bullets had once torn through him. However, this blemishes upon his skin have, over time and with other factors, grown less noticeable. What IS noticeable is that he's a rather solidly built person whose physical stature suggests high powerful capability (and he is indeed in possession of such strength).
His face bears the distinct features of a classic Xingman, particularly of the Han ethnic group, though there are some abnormalities: Such as his misshapen teeth that appear as though they were a collection of fangs, and crimson eyes that gaze upon the world with mixed emotions. Atop his head is thick collection of dark hair that refuses to be tamed, cropping up or outward at odd angles, much to Hei's displeasure. Fortunately, due to its length, it sometimes rests easy about him, though he's prone to cutting it . . . often. Sometimes ... except never. Starting to turn grey, too.
As for articles of clothing, Hei is not that choosy of a person. Sometimes, he will just opt for simplicity over trendy, and go about wearing somber black or drab grey clothing. This, though, is civillian attire, as given he works often as a militant, he is often in uniform.
Believe me though, one does not see him often in these attires, since his life is one of conflict. That, and his identity shifts over time. Lately, he's been thinking about dying his hair ... not that matters, since apparently he will be known as the 'Black Knight of Drachma' and essentially never go out in public without that damn thing. It's major components are imported from Creta, and it was modeled after the knightly armor of antiquity ... but it is anything but a relic of the past, given its new furnishings and other handy little aspects that, when meshed with Hei's superhuman endurance, make an interesting pair. (More info to be found in the Weapons App about this)

PERSONALITY:
→ Curious natures dictate a curiousity-driven analysis.
Hei the civilian.
Honest man, when he wants to be, but capable of hiding and masking what truths he wants hidden that only those who DO know what he's hiding can even make a reasonable guess about his secrets. How does he do this? By never once letting it out. Sure, making a guess is possible, but the answers shall always be vague, just like him.
Peaceful, benevolent, all-around merciful. He has, over many weeks of reconditioning, learnt some sort of value in human life. It's taken much trial and error, and plenty of pains both to himself and to others, for him to achieve this state. Unless other urges inside of him are hijacking his mind, his rationale will keep him from mindlessly slaying others. In fact, you could say that this charitable side of Hei would be his true nature had he not gone through the horrors he did.
Hei the militant.
Bat.Shit.Insane. The rage of War is, however, like a good ol'drug to Hei. One immensely powerful and overwhelming that it can reawaken and will reawaken his savage nature. His training is too thorough, and his mind is too fragile to try to remove this aspect of him. He kills. And he does not regret. Even above, while he has a respect for human life, he can be quick to remove that value from certain individuals and eliminate them without a single shred of remorse. How he reconciles this aspect, his ever-growing bloodrage and desire to kill, maim, and destroy, with the more peace-attuned and gentle nature is still unknown, and it's clear he hasn't quite figured out which he would want to live the rest of his life out in.
Hei the servent.
However, perhaps THIS is what permits him to be able to exist as both the civilian and the militant. In the end, his system of values is quite horrible skewed. Honestly, if you were to ask him a series of questions to determine what aspect of morals he has, you'd realize that there really isn't that much of morals IN Hei. No, his morality is dependent on who he has adopted as his master. During the times of Father, he just raged and killed because that was what he designed for. With ownership being passed around, afterwards, he's been left to think for himself, leading to the irregularity in his personality.
Simply put, Hei's mood is quite mercurial. He, overall, can be a very polite, if somewhat formal person, preferring to keep things civil and calm all the while. His smile, nowadays, is often a true indicator of his mood (fairly easy to distinguish a gentle expression over a maniacal grin). But, he is also prone to fits of anger, as any person would, just that his fits of anger (which comes from his belligerent nature) often are accompanied with utmost devastation and sheer ruin. Alas, depending on which one he is more prone to depends on a) Whoever is giving him orders or b) Whatever his mind's on at the moment, leaving it questionable as to when or where Hei has to be to trigger what sort of response. But at least, he's a much nicer person than before.
Kind of.
He's still crazy, though. And despite having at least having some semblance of value for human life, he still enjoys killing. Oh, so much . . .
LOVE:
→ Alcoholic Beverages
→ Food. Oh god yes, Food. Hei just LOVES to eat.
→ Torture
→ War
→ Mayhem and Murder.
→ Money, dear boy.
→ Cute animals
→ Helping the needy/community service
→ Children, particularly those of the war-torn districts tug his heartstrings.
HATE:
→ 'State Alchemists'
→ Cowards
→ Xingese. It's starting to lessen up, now.
→ Hypocrites, that includes himself.
→ Nikolaus Stuka, for more reasons than one can count on both hands.
→ Himself, for more reasons than one.
→ Liars and traitors.
→ Organizations or Nations that posit to control the world.
DEEPEST SECRET:
→ Is actually a sleeper agent from the Xing Royal Protectors sent to infiltrate the Amestrian military, but was brainwashed to aid Fatherist forces . . . and now he's in Drachma, loyally serving the RIOTE terrorist organization that seeks to destroy Father's legacy/traces.
What?

HISTORY:
→
"Details are sparse, not going to lie. You want to know about how the funny-looking Xingese-Drachman clawed his way up into higher echelons of the military of the bastion of Soviet military might? Then we'll have to patch together where the crap he came from in the first place, and that'll cost more than you paid me for. I'm a pro, but honestly, Mr. Stingy, I don't think we're going to have much a de-
Wait ... you're actually going to pay me for all that? Seriously? Alright then!
-child bathed in blood and chaos-
So, we start when he was a kid. Yeah.
'Start.'
That'd be a great place to begin if there was, y'know, any documents about it. But, nope. Nothin. No birth records, no grade school report cards, immunization shots, whatever! The kid doesn't exist and possibly never did, at least legally, considering how damn hard it is to find out and all. Buuuuut, I've been at this for a long time now and since you're paying me well, I did figure out some details.
He's no 'Hei.' No, that's a name he probably picked up later, instead he was born 'Bai Feng' or secondhand comments say. However, apparently he took up the name 'Hei' pretty early, since there's amazing stuff on that name as opposed to his birth name! Kid started off being born into the damn Xing Imperial Protectors. Don't know which clan, originally, he was supposed to serve, but apparently his family ... extended family, really, were pretty big on serving as protectors and assassins for the royal family. So considering 'Hei's' pop decided to disappear not too long after little Bai was born, that meant trouble. Lots of it.
He could have had a chance to probably live his life out as a normal person, but it seems that a life of danger's his true calling. This guy was dangerous, even as a kid. Creepy, according to what I found out, bit of a knife nut and damn good one. Instead of being 'socially awkward' considering he wasn't going to have a normal life, he ended up being a psychotic little brat that was told all sorts of crazy things about how his 'life belongs to the Emperor' and how 'he serves only to embody the will of the Emperor' and stuff like that. Indoctrination, I think's the word. Conditioning. Considering how he is now, it sorta worked out for him, but like I said psychotic.
While other kids learnt how to walk and talk and play, he learned to walk, talk, hold a knife - then run like crazy, stay quiet, and slit a throat efficiently.
Though, all this info came off some sobbing ol'drunk in a Cretan-owned bar in the middle of nowhere, circa Xing. So, how much of it is true, I dunno. But, fact is: 'Hei's' been crazy since when he was in diapers, and no matter how 'well-adjusted' he is now, he's STILL batshit insane!!
Oh . . . right, back to how he got here. Sorry, sorry.
-Slave in nature, next in mind-
So, there's this wacky minister guy or something or other in the Xing court who gets this wise idea. He's an aristocrat, by their standards, though he's just well-to-do bootlicker in other places ... except blessed ol'Drachma, where he'd just be dead. Anyhow, he gets this genius idea to get together a team of Imperial spies. Some of them loyal peasants, some of them Xing troops, and others of them Royal Guards. And, this loon, thought that picking 'Hei,' who at the time was called 'Bai Feng,' as one of the little moles would be a good idea! Because no one mistrusts a little kid, I guess was the thinking.
Except, the genius idea was to, at the time, feed off some of these people as slaves in the Desert, and get them distributed to the right places, while the others of them took of like damn ninjas and infiltrators and spies and whatever you can call them and just integrated themselves into wherever they needed to be. 'Bai' got put in the former group, and luck happened to be that that caravan with him and the others got caught by Amestrian troops.
And well, everyone knows the story. I mean, the new Government and 'Hei' himself admits it! They took him in to Amestris and used him a guinea pig! Now, the loon back in Xing had been hoping to use his team of spies to get a good luck at other countries's inner workings (dumbass), but he also had made a list of people that were considered liabilities as well. Now, guess which ones got sent off as 'slaves' and the others went off as 'foreign immigrants'?
Your first guess doesn't count.
-Intelude of 10 years-
So yeah. That's how Hei ended up in Central, in the underground labs being used a guinea pig. I want to say that's where he got his freakish strength, his knowledge of random things alchemical or not, and that weird arm of his, since . . . and damn me again, there's NOTHING documented about this. I mean, the government of Amestris has admitted to doing Human experimentation in the past, the Drachman government claims that the Chimerae around the place are due to Amestrian meddling and Hei himself admits to experimentation by Amestrian scientists! Why else would he hate their balls?
Or so it would seem!
-Emergence of insanity into society-
This surprised me, but let's do some math. According to what obscure references I got, Hei was born in about 1982, July-ish. About 1992, loon in Xing decides to put his brilliant plan in motion of disposing of threats and sends out all the 'operatives.' (1993, he's appointed diplomat to Creta. 1994, January 17 he dies in the earthquake that day.) Hei disappears from timeline from that point, and 'technically' he's dead. Or should I say 'Bai Feng' is dead.
But get this! In 2002, when Hei should be about nineteen or twenty, I find the mention of his name in a listing. Random obscure thing in Central, but the odd part is that he's now 'Hei Bai' not 'Hei Jin.' To be honest, though, that was only a reproduction of the page and they didn't quite get the other info, so I've got no idea what that was about. But yeah, I mean, it shows that 'Hei' really did exist and that very Hei is the one who we got here in Drachma.
Now to connect the dots.
-Time before Spade, Brother of the Master-
About six years go by before his name pops again, this time it's in the registry for the peronnel staffed in office work nonsense in Central. Still Hei Bai in 2008, that name shows up a lot . . . but there's no birth certificate. Yes, there isn't one. I got a friend who takes care of record-keeping in Amestris, family moved to Amestris from Drachma years ago, and there's nothing, again!
He doesn't end up thrown in any battles, but his name shows up consistently. But there's nothing attached to it. No picture, no service, no identity. He's just ... there.
Then, in 2011, after Amestris ousted Father for the ... second? Third time? There's a sudden shift. 'Hei Bai' finds promotion to Sergeant Major, and works full-time at Central Command, paper-pusher. Though, he's known for violent offences, just they never caught him and he always bribed Spade with booze.
In about March or April, he got promoted, somehow, to Second Lieutenant and got a chance to nab the empty Head of Defense position. Didn't do his job real well, according to some reports. And yet, I never get much more than a vague physical description about him.
Oh, this is funny. Apparently, during the annual Central Carnival, he was assigned to work in the Haunted House . . . and somehow ended up wrestling with a giant winged dragonic chimera which burned down two attractions and crashed into a third. Ended up in the hospital, because the chimera almost bit his arm off. Though, that was hardly the most interesting thing about that Carnival (-chuckle-), from the accounts, apparently there was a large tornado that wrecked the place . . . the Cretan Prime Minister either committed suicide or was killed in a fight with the then-Brigadier General Spade Aeries atop a ferris wheel, and the whole place was rigged with explosives.
But, yeah, then it gets quiet. REAL QUIET. I mean, after this sudden spike of activity, Hei just disappears off the radar. The records here say he participated in Central's effort to reclaim South from Aerugo, and was injured in the battle. Then, apparently, they found out about his insanity and committed him to a mental institute.
AND THEN AMESTRIS BLEW UP!!
Seriously! RIOTE came around, blew the place up and his name shows up one last time in militant listings, as those considered MIA.
That was about . . . June 2011.
Coincidentally, check this article. June 27, 2011 - Insane man of Xingese descent goes on a rampage. 'Eyewitness accounts report that the Xingman was acting feral, attacking practically anything and everything that so much moved. Fortunately, there have been no casualities, and this ill beast has been confined to a sanitarium for treatment.'
And there you have it. Our dear boy Hei, after going missing in Amestris, makes his way to Drachma. But, now you know the story? Who doesn't know the story of the foreigner who clawed his way up the ranks? The self-proclaimed 'Silent Fist' of the Government? The popular 'Terror of the East'? Or the shell-shocked 'Menace of Peace'? There's no other way to describe what he's done, since everyone's heard about it at some point or another, particularly if you live IN Moscow. He made his way to the rank of Captain, he became head of communication for Moscovian troops, and on the night of the revolution, he coordinated the inside job that destroyed any hope of the Tzar's army to stop the Communists and RIOTE.
And then, it gets better.
He gets promoted to Major, he becomes one of the nine lieutenants of RIOTE (Perses, I think), and he finally ends up a member of the Kuvalda to boot. This guy is everywhere in Drachma, he's respected, feared, loved, hated. It's primarily in Moscow, since he's out to 'protect the new regime,' but he is scary. Really ... scary.
Hah! As if telling you he was batshit crazy wasn't enough, this guy has mercilessly quashed rebel cells without a second's hesitation. Sometimes on orders, sometimes without. No mercy. He's basically, for all this polite manners and kind words, the ultimate wind-up toy soldier who so happens to be capable of bending or breaking metal with his bare hands. Remorseless, and definitely psychotic.
But, you know all this, don't you? You know how wretched of a person this guy is, and that's why you wanted someone to piece together his background. Figure out if there was anything to use against him? Look, I'm sorry, but this guy simply doesn't care. You could probably have a gun pointed at his head, right now, and he still wouldn't hesitate trying to rip your head off, even if it killed him!
Right?"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Xing-Drachman could only smile. Honestly, this was going just a little bit too well, convincing a professional to rattle about his own past to see what connections were still around to him. Honestly, he could have done it himself, but that would be too time-consuming. Time was precious, after all, due to its rarity and high demand, he couldn't waste too much of on a silly thing like this!
"Indeed. There's so many stories about this man's insanity and impulse to kill ... it's almost unsettling." These clothes were relatively new, a much more vibrant outfit in comparison to his dreary grey and black articles. Well, alright, not incredibly bright, but still enough to avoid being directly connected to his tendency and preference for darker pieces. His hair, once black, and what few photographs he had seen were incompatible ... it seems all that trauma and stress he went through finally was catching up to him.
But enough about the fact that he looked nothing like the 'Monster' of Moscow, who was kept on a short leash by Alena and turned loose on anyone who spoke against her. He didn't have time for this. The new tactical armor shipments were well on their way, and that convoy was bound to be a likely target by some eager rebel cell. Normally, he didn't care that much if the rebels got their hands on the imported military equipment ... but this time, the shipment had a little something extra he had ordered . . . Vanity had given him something of an approval for this, and he was spending his own hard-earned cash on it, so.
"-nd that's not the worst of it! I heard that he was even a . . . wait, are you even listening to me anymore?"
This fool, he was still here? Blathering away about some useless prattle? No matter, at least he was still in his seat, that made things easier.
"Can't say I was ... too busy contemplating how to kill you," he speaks blatantly in his native tongue, the threat essentially coated with venom. Fortunately for him, and unfortunately to the pro, they both understood the tongue that Hei was most comfortable speaking in. He was enjoying this too much, watching the poor man blanch and squirm upon realizing something. More so now that Hei was smiling his officially trade-marked smile of spiked teeth that looked more fitting on a maniacal carnivorous beast than a human being.
Thus ended the story of Hei Jin and Bai Feng. There is no one left, or there will be no one left. In one month's time, he would be 'imprisoned' and put through a 'show trial' during which he would 'break free' and make his way south. There, he would die. Or, rather, Hei Jin would die. That persona was no longer needed, and could be discarded like Bai Feng, and with the public believing he was dead, there would be no suspicion. Not that it mattered if there were, since there wasn't anything or wouldn't be anything left . . . but still, never hurts to be careful, no? Like this poor, poor man? Whose body had been mutilated beyond the point of being unrecognizable?
No one can know anything. No one does know anything. And no one WILL know anything, ever. Whoever he was before was no irrelevant, and others who bothered to try to find out about him would realize the same thing. After all, this is what he had been born for. Raised for. Trained. For. No identity to his own, and now, with all the cards in play, he would be immortalized, in a sense. There would be no 'human' identity for him to take in Drachma any longer, instead he would be the manifestation of the Iron Will of the Party. To counter the presence of the Right Rook, guard of the Party Chairwoman, he would be a weapon, one of many as time goes on, to guard the Party and slay its enemies.
Such a fate was not destined for him from the beginning, but he likes that prospect better than anything else.
...........................................................................
TRIVIA:
→ Hei Jin can speak: Xingese (Chinese - White) and Drachman (Russian - Red) fluently, without an accent slipping into either. His Amestrian (German - Cyan) is mostly good, with a strange accent from his Xingese and Drachman, while his Cretan (English - Yellow) still needs a larger vocabulary and has a heavy Drachman accent.
→ With his memories now restored, he has regained a much ... much more stable mindset. He's still got tendencies to wreak havoc, and randomly kill things, but at least he's more clear-headed.
→ Trained in the use of many ... many ... MANY weapons. He's able to efficiently use and wield practically any non-unique and non-specialized weapon, and even if he encounters a weapon that is rarely seen or has no duplicate/equal, he'd probably intuitively grasp on how it can be used (Unless it requires an alchemical skill).
→ Possesses a Chimeric arm, grafted on with a combination of surgery and biological transmutation, which has now been entirely assimilated by his body. It is approximately a Generation Four Chimera arm, combining Human-Lizard-Starfish-Snake material, has an increased healing capability and while able to restore itself to prime condition. For now, the genetic material of the arm is confined there, but the increased healing process has also taken root in the rest of his body: This is just merely amplifying the already enhanced process to a point that keeps Hei's physical body in highly capable physical state (fatigue and exhaustion are not long-lasting, if actually present) while allowing him to disregard minor injuries by decreasing likelihood of greater complications afterwards. That said, the 'recovery' is only noticeable when he's not stressed (in battle) and receiving appropriate medical attention, and certainly will be quicker than a normal person could manage. But not by much.
→ Possesses an absurd amount of pain tolerance. While injuries are still an annoyance to Hei and still poses a good amount of risk, his enhanced body and twisted mind allows him to put aside the concerns, suppress the pain rather well and continue beating the crap out of whatever had the gall to injure him without killing him outright.
→ Possesses a reinforced skeletal frame. The metal is an alchemic compound, technically toxic in high quantities. The transmutations and surgeries involved to bond the compound to his bones has resulted in 1) an increased regenerative factor (also the benefits of the Chimeric arm's healing properties apply to his whole body), 2) greater capacity for acquired toxin immunity, 3) should his blood be used for any other purpose besides circulating inside his bodies, it will be found toxic to most other biological organisms. About a pint of his blood will be enough to kill a normal person.
→ As a result due to transmutations and surgeries, as well as the Chimeric Arm and Skeletal Reinforcement, Hei possesses the capacity to perform superhuman feats that would boggle the mind. The true extent of his physical prowress is currently unknown, but given his high endurance and pain tolerance and strengthened body, it is far beyond the means a normal human would be capable of. He is capable of lifting his primary weapon, which weighs in the hundreds of pounds, as well as smaller cars with ease and apply through them with crushing/devastating force.
→ As a result of his memories being restored, and due to prior training in the past, he has (re)gained the ability to see the Dragon's Pulse, though his ability to manipulate them is virtually nothing. He also has a rather extensive knowledge of things of Alchemic and Alkahestric nature due to both background and training, such as the true nature of the Philosopher's Stone, the Laws of Alchemy, Chimerae, and Homunculi.
