→ It is a kind of backsword that usually has a curved, single-edged blade and a rather large hand guard, covering the knuckles of the hand as well as the thumb and forefinger. Although sabres are typically thought of as curved-bladed slashing weapons, those used by the world's heavy cavalry often had straight and even double-edged blades more suitable for thrusting. It is carried in a scabbard hanging from a shoulder belt known as a baldric or from a waist-mounted sword belt.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
→ Fran's real father was the true owner of this sword as he had it specially made for the ten-year-long war against Alphonso of Esparia. Rouen had been developing non-alchemic alloy on the side of the major battle due to whisperings of Amestris joining the war on the side of Esparia. However, no such thing occurred and the idea was scrapped save for a few tons of experimental alloy. Fran's real father knew the organizer of the project and asked if he could attempt to forge a sword from it. He gained permission and created Sence, Fran's sabre. This sword is capable of canceling out alchemic arrays when it comes in direct contact with the dispelled alchemy. How it does this is that the metal, when swung through the air, emits certain vibrations that creates noise in the energy fields. The alchemy bounces off these silent vibrations and either cancels out or is directed back at the alchemist depending on the strength of the alchemy that is trying to be used. This alloy called Labrose does not work against the dragon's pulse (Alkahestry).
