Description:
→ In his human form, Nax In his True Form, Envy looks like a giant dragon-like creature. He is large and green, with black spikes covering his back. He has a long tail, and his hair is a bit longer than it is in his human form. His side is covered in what appears to be faces, representing the human souls that were used to make the Philosopher's Stone that is his core.

PERSONALITY:
→ Since he is the homunculus Envy, Nax is easily jealous. When someone has something that he wants, no matter how simple it may be, he will go to great heights to get it. He is also very arrogant, believing himself to be better than most people. He looks down greatly on humans. He can be extremely sadistic at times. He enjoys taking care of enemies Father wants dead maybe a little too much. If it came down to it, though, it's not much of a secret that Nax would sell out Father if it meant saving his own life.

Envy is rather obedient to Father most of the time, but he really only looks out for himself. He figures that if he sticks with Father, he'll be less likely to be killed, and therefore he does. He knows what he wants, and he does whatever it takes to get it. As far as the other homunculi go, he is mostly friendly with them, unless, of course, they turn on him, in which case he will make them pay, perhaps a bit more than is actually fair to them. In his mind, however, everyone gets what they deserve.

Nax tries to avoid people most of the time, but when he can't, he
mostly has to grin and bear it. He comes off as bitter at times, and
very rarely finds a human he can actually stand. His favorite part of
working for Father is getting to trick the foolish humans into doing
whatever he wants and, more often than not, ending their miserable
lives. He feels no remorse for them since, in his opinion, they get what
they deserve for being such jolly, trusting, idiots. He enjoys killing
people quite a bit, and sometimes gets in trouble with Father for
killing people too soon or when it's unnecessary, but he always manages
to find a way out of punishment, since he is rather good at following
Father's commands.

HISTORY:
→ Nax was born when Father decided to bring back the homunculi as his allies shortly after he came back. He was one of the earliest ones born, and was one of the most loyal. As a homunculus, he didn't have much of a childhood. Most of his early years were spent training to be used as a spy and warrior for Father. At first, Envy hated the idea of working for Father, and felt that he was being used as a slave, but he later saw how Father was such a valuable ally, and how if he weren't on Father's side, he wouldn't get far, which made him loyal, to a point. Although he still isn't completely loyal to Father, he is loyal enough, and wouldn't do something stupid like go out and tell random people on the streets the homunculi's plans.

When he was 2, Envy picked up his alias, Nax, which he uses for everything. The only people to actually call him Envy is Father and the other homunculi, and even the other homunculi mostly call him by this alias in public. Unless he is transforming into a person who is well known in order to trick their friends or family, Envy uses his alias in most of the forms he transforms into. He likes the alias alright, and always introduces himself as it when meeting new people, which doesn't happen often, since he doesn't much care for people.

As he grew older, Envy became rather good at sparring. He discovered that he loved using guns, and was quite good at it. As a result, he blew most of the money he made to buy new guns. When he was 3, he also discovered cigarettes, which also resulted in him spending most of his money. Since he needs more money to blow, he took to stealing wallets. Over the years, he got fairly good at it, and he was able to use his transformation powers to further the progress. When Father found out, he of course wasn't too happy, but he allowed it, since he sees the homunculi as his children. Being allowed to do this, though, of course made it less fun, and now Nax doesn't do it nearly as often, unless he is extremely low on cash.

By the time he turned 5, Envy was a rather strong homunculus. With his transformation ability, he is easily able to fool people, and with his gun skills, he can easily dispose of the not so easily fooled people. He doesn't have many friends, which doesn't bother him in the slightest, as long as he can fool people when he needs to.

TRIVIA:
Envy got the name Nax from Xan himself. The two met very briefly in Central when he was two, and Envy liked the Xan's name so much that he decided to use a variation of it for himself. After trying many variations on the word 'Xan', Envy finally got the idea of just turning it backwards, forming 'Nax.'

You're lucky I've read the DN manga a gazillion times otherwise I'd be askin ya where Matt was from XD Ok, Envy's level 1 ability is ONLY changing into humans. He can't use his massive form, turn into objects or animals yet. If you wanna turn him into his true form, you can only do the real one *holds up the 10cm/4" long lizard thing that be Envy* ...Yeah, I wouldn't do it either.
