Why do I do this to myself?

Why do I do this to myself?
Now here he was, the last of the three military branches he could visit to solve Central's debt problem. East Headquarters. It was ... seemingly peaceful. A sort of rustic air that none of the others had, while maintaining a, well, peculiar cast of citizens. Multiple nationalities and/or ethnicities of people intermingling rather ... well. At least, more so than you would expect. He had heard East was prone to some violent minority uprisings, but ah, it looks like rumors weren't always truthful, or were they? Either way, he didn't happen to see so much violence as he got off the train and navigated his way to East Headquarters without a guide. Unlike his travels to West and North, he had been to the East HQ before, and was rather familiar with East City's layout. So, trusting his own judgment and not willing to pay cab fare, he opted to walk.
He would eventually arrive and enter the military complex and be waiting for whenever the Brigadier General Tataki Masu would show and, HOPEFULLY, help him out with his money troubles. Alas, he had received some sympathy, but little to no aid (as of yet) from the other Branch Heads ... perhaps Brigadier General Masu could do something to ease this inane debacle that troubled him and his co-workers? Unlikely, but it was still worth a try.
Oh, and on the way there, a small Xingese urchin attack him with a knife. Hei was not amused, but neither was he willing to entertain the notion of killing the child ... who was screaming about how the military was at fault this, military at fault that for his sorrows and that of his family. Said child was gently swept of his feet and found pinned against the ground by Hei, who responded in Xingese, for the kid to get home and never pull this stunt again. Child was relatively unharmed, exception of maybe a sore arm when Hei wrenched it up to get him to relinquish the knife, and Hei just kept on walking, no killing ... and he didn't take the knife, either, seeing as how it was a kitchen knife and probably had another function to the kid and his family. After that, most people kept their distance from the man in blue uniform, but also donning a black cloak to hide his injured right arm (in a sling).
But, now he was inside East HQ, a rather ... calm place. Not a lot of disturbances, shuffling pages, some idle but friendly banter and bouts of laughter. Overall, a rather pleasant place. Though, that was probably thanks to the recent peace-times nowadays, since this WAS home to the military's reigning and supreme offensive troops.

OOC: Sorry I was rather museless for a while, but it seems to be returning to me. ^^
Tataki's day had been relatively normal for the most part. He came in early and got started on paperwork like he always did. He liked to get it done quickly so he might start on something else. But today it seemed he wouldn't finish before moving on to something else. Someone it would seem had come to visit him here at Eastern HQ. He didn't receive many visitors....and many of them didn't use the front entrance. One had snuck in through the windows and snuck into his office to try and kill him. That was the day he found out he wasn't only a twin, but a triplet.
"Major General Tataki Masu? There is a Mr. Hei Bai here to see you."
So that man was here to visit eh? He had only ever made it once, and found out he was WAY too good at being an ax murderer in a haunted house... He didn't really have anything against Hei Bai. It was his leader Spade he had a problem with. He wondered why he was visiting him today. They didn't really speak when working the haunted house. They actually pretty much stayed out of each others way. Send him in," he said as he put down his pen and awaited for Hei to walk in and explain himself. Why had he come? Was he requesting a transfer here or something? It wouldn't surprise him if he wanted to get away from Spade...
