CASE FILE: Transmutation Equipment

Raziah Dahl
...........................................................................
NAME:
→ Iron Molding

TYPE:
→ Alchemy: Basic

LEVEL:
→ One.

FORM:
→ Heat-protected, left-handed workglove

...........................................................................

BRIEFING:
→ A simple appliance of basic alchemy, that works on the principle of manipulating the iron molecules and their connections into a desired shape. For that to work, one needs -of course- at least basic knowledge of the composition of iron and how the smaller-than-microscopic parts need to be put and bonded together in order to form a stable material. But since it's use really is limited to actual iron and it's direct products -like steel-, it is not quite the feat to know that much, since that's almost basic chemistry and thus can be found in any decent schoolbook.
The refinement from one iron-material into another (for example, rust into steel) is technically possible, if one has the knowledge about the molecular mixture and can supply the eventually needed additional substances like oxygen or carbon.
It's mostly used in easy forging and metalworking processes at Berg Dahl's metalworks to create crafts that are tedious and/or hard to make by actual smithing because of their size or shape.

PICTURE:
Spoiler:
It looks like shown in the picture, embroidered with tungsten filament into the black tissue of the palm. As far as the symbolic contains of the circle go, it's pretty simple. The usual, circular outline is meant to harness the needed power for transmuting in the first place. The simple triangle represents fire and stands for the force that makes iron ductile. Grouped with it is the upside-down triangle with an extra link between the lines that form the downwards pointing spike. This stands for earth with it's cold chill and dryness, it's thus considered the aide that returns softened iron into it's former hardened state.
In the center of interconnected fire and earth, the alchemic symbol of iron is placed. This is to directly adress the kind of material the transmuting progess shall be focused on.
→ There is not much to describe about the gear in question. It's a simple, black work glove made out of kevlar thread and isolating fabric on the palm side. The back side of the hand and fingers are strenghtened with synthetic materials to protect them from crushing by e.G. misguided hammer swings or falling material.

...........................................................................

SPECIAL ABILITIES:

→ Shaping any amount of iron or iron-based material into any desired shape that fits the used amount of material.

(It's use is mostly for working purposes, so it has no real special abilities, and only the possibilities of appliance might propably increase.)
